There will be a pitch inspection at The Progression Solicitors Stadium at 12noon today ahead of this evening’s Sky Bet League Two game against Exeter City (7pm kick-off).

The Club has taken all precautions in the build-up to the game and covered the pitch in an attempt to protect it from plummeting overnight temperatures.

Bluebirds officials have been in constant communication with Exeter City and the EFL throughout and it has now been agreed that a pitch inspection will take place at 12noon.

We’ll have full details here as soon as the pitch inspection has been concluded.

Hopefully ok. Frost covers on before any frost on the pitch and it didn't drop that low last night!

If the frost covers are coming off at 2, the temperature is forecasted to drop below freezing at 5, it will be touch and go I'd suspect.
Popular side since '03.

it looks like Connor Brown isn't in the 22 man squad - can't see the club having him do a hard run the morning of a match if he had any chance of being in the 17 tonight...

Cars frozen this morning and my back garden is frozen solid now. Same side as the popular side shade.

Even if it`s just a small area that`s frozen the ref will call it off, can`t see the club/ match officials taking a chance on this because of the cost it would involve for exeter plus what if they travel up here and as Ian stated it`s freezing when the covers come off !

It was only a couple of weeks ago that some members were slated for suggesting the covers were put on the pitch...

They won`t be happy then if it`s called off!

Whether they'll be happy or not doesn't matter a sh!te. They will just have to get on with it like every f****r else has to.

The club has kept them informed all along. If they hadn't set off by now it would be worse than the Dover debacle. They'll be parked at Hilton Park services waiting on a call.
Don't let the old man in.

BREAKING: Work is continuing on the pitch to do everything possible to get this evening's game on and there is now a further inspection planned for 4pm.

Looks like Exeter will have to make the full journey. Got to feel sorry for players and staff in situations like these.

And also what 'work' can be done to a frozen pitch? .. Keep refilling the kettle?
