Team selection by committee. Last night, when Steeley suggested his choices for midfield, I wrote down my team selection on a scrap of paper and it was almost the same as the one above, except I assumed Hird was not available. Only differences - I had Davies for Hird and Goodridge for J Taylor.

Perhaps they just watched Quigleys video interview after yesterday’s game; that was a player with no belief left

I think you're right, it was when he said "I'm not the manager " then he stopped, it was hard watching that !

Davies - also a good shout. Either him or Hird there for me. I really like Hird and I think having as many as the team that got us promoted as possible can only be a good thing. Would also love to see C Brown back involved in the squad. He seems like he really cares and 100% has passion. J Taylor for the reasons I just gave for both Hird and Brown

Think this is the right decision albeit regrettable and pretty embarrassing for the board to be sacking two managers in the space of 2 months.

Was willing to give him time but he overly complicated everything - too clever for his own good I think.

Whilst the boards recruitment decisions haven’t been great I must say fair play for acting decisively. Let’s presume we are gonna stay up, and start a proper recruitment process now and get the right man.

One thing I am concerned about though is the statement the board put out referencing how ‘their vision of how we should play aren’t aligned’ - with all due respect that is not the remit of the board. Appoint the manager on their vision. The board needs to have a vision for how the club operates not how the team plays. I do hope they aren’t interfering. Let the manager manage.

IMO it was no coincidence that the team that picked up some points after Dunn left had (from memory) 8 or 9 of last season's players. I was worried that the January signings might be a case of throwing baby out with the bath water.

Would you not have a look at Ndjoli instead of James? On paper he should be worth a shout but we've barely had chance to look at him.

We've been dreadful the last few games, simply awful. With yesterday's first half being the epitemy of what's been bad the last few games - no structure, mind boggling shape, not looking like scoring in a month of Sundays, players appearing to have no idea where they should play and even the seasoned players looking down and deflated. It had to happen, the outcry on the forum yesterday was the worst I think I've seen - nearly everyone has given up on the team (under jolley).

Unless there were broken promises in interview stage. Board clearly want to play out from the back (Evatt model) and would have probably discussed this with Jolley. In the games he had in charge, we have not been playing the football we have been used to under Evatt and even Dunn (in spells) to be fair to him. We seem to play a lot of hit and hope and at least under Cox, we had the players to do this with!

We are also really missing that high press / high intensity side of the game. We seem to give opposition so much space.

I think back to a 3-5-2, high press, play football from the back is the way we need to get out of this.

Yeah I would definitely give him a look in sooner rather than later. Wouldn't mind if he started on Tue as like you said - we don't know about a player unless we give them a chance.

I really think there is a good potential partnership there though with James+Quigs under the right formation and style of play

Well i'm surprised but I know some on here aren't or claim they aren't. But one thing this forum needs to do now and continue to the end of the season try and get behind Kelly and the team as I said on another post this place has been toxic at times and that's the last thing this club needs. Summer is a time to ask those questions and re-align ourselves whatever division we find out selves in.
Couple of things:-
Will there be a meet the manager evening this week? Is so what are we going to ask now?
