We managed to lay our hands on some scarves that were surplus to requirements (old club crest, but brand new) and given permission by the owners to sell them with all funds going into the maintenance kitty. Without even advertising them we’ve got shot of about twenty. We’re asking for £3 per scarf, if interested. PM, text or e-Mail (ianrainford@aol.com) if you’d like one putting aside.

Also, many thanks to our old friend a former member of this forum for selling some of the shirts, shorts and socks we had for sale last year. He put another £80 into the kitty.

I never took a picture of the door that was on here but it was basically a piece of plywood, various parts of the housing structure didn’t meet the gas companies regs so a new door was made (from a turnstile door we’d saved) along with the door casing, vents and locking bolts. It’ll all be stripped back and painted properly.

Another morning of progressing various jobs at the ground. The main area around the fanzone has come along well, much of the area around the building is now cladded. Lights are going up and the gates are being painted.
The ground has once again been picked of litter....and this is without fans in there!

It's not a cheap shot. He's quoting another poster's opinion which is of course way off the mark.

Just a thought, and I'll be amazed if it has gone unnoticed but with the Fanzone becoming such an active part of the ground the corner gate and the wall next to it look pretty easy to jump/scramble over.

If anyone is interested in any of the remaining half a dozen or so scarves we have left can you drop me a pm, text or e-Mail. £3 each or two for a fiver. They’re brand new & still wrapped but the old club crest. All money raised will go into the maintenance kitty.

We also have about a dozen footballs, they all look in decent condition so if you run, or are connected to a junior club you’re more than welcome to them.
