Another sensible move by the club,he will also bridge that gap between the existing squad and the new signings so we don’t get another Jolley like division,the guy obviously cares about this football club and has always given his best for us but if he is in the starting eleven at the start of the season then our recruitment has gone wrong and that isn’t meant in horrible way as I’m sure over the season he will contribute as he always keeps in great shape,so far good signings which all make sense and target the areas where we need strengthening and also looks more likely that we will get that destructive midfielder

Well past that stage. I'd always assumed players over 35 had prosthetic legs.

When I read this I thought no he is to old as player , reminded me of when Sheridan played time had caught up with him.
I watched the Great Johhny Haynes well past his sell by date playing at Barrow for Fulham, suppose he needed the cash.
Then I thought the Board realised last season if Rob Kelly had walked we would have been in dire trouble.
Jason is dedicated and if anything happened to MC would be their to step in whilst already learning his trade with him.

glad he's coaching but his best days are behind him ok for the odd appearance but only stood out last season because we were so bad in midfield!

Good to hear this news! Over these last few seasons Jason has shown time and time again that he is made of the right stuff, brimful of jonahesqueness. Of course it remains to be seen whether he cuts it on the technical side of the coaching role but we already know that on the motivational side he will be the perfect appointment to fire the players up. My favourite player of the last three seasons.
