We Need 1 Cash Gate

I see that before the Exeter and Aston Villa games the players ‘took the knee’. I believe that this gesture is made to promote equality in our society and to oppose all forms of discrimination. But Barrow AFC in stopping any facility to pay with cash to enter Holker Street on match day is blatantly discriminating against many sections of Barrows population. I can draw two conclusions from this. Firstly taking the knee is an empty gesture and it’s continuation at Holker Street would be ridiculous in the circumstances Secondly if you are white working class in this country you are at the bottom rung of society and nobody gives two hoots about your rights.

Hmm, I heard the odd 'boo' on Tuesday on the Pop side before they were drowned by the applause.

Don’t agree with booing don’t agree with applauding. Taking the knee has lost all credibility since it was adopted by BLM. There was an excellent debate on talk sport the other day about it.

Having read todays programme notes by Paul Hornby and his take on going cashless for tickets on match days I have come to the conclusion he still does not get it. Something he does say that has not been mentioned is that at the ticket office in the fanzone for the Exeter game that did have a cash float for anyone wanting to pay cash for a ticket. Hopefully this will be the norm and will get more publicity than a couple of lines in the programme.

It should be been made very public by the club so those who want to use cash could see this info in various SM mediums etc & a few more would have attended today

we all know whats coming next. 'we need more cash gates as the que for the 1 we have was so long i couldnt get in till after kick off'

i think its absolutely pathetic if people have stayed away from the club because they couldnt pay cash

Thank you to the club for finally seeing sense and putting this facility in place on match days. Also good.to read the club shop is also taking cash payments on match days.

Glad to see that the club has at last listened to the supporters about the need for a cash turnstile and is providing one in the Fan Zone area.It was nice to hear that the club was prepared to change it's policy and has not forgotten it,s older supporters,shift workers and poorer families .I am sure we will now have more supporters turning up to each game as a result.Well done to.everyone concerned.
