I don't think it's within our gift to do any kind of deal, it's up to iFollow. Anyway, as I understand it, under normal circumstances, i.e. midweek games, the home team gets all the iFollow revenue. But it seems on this one occasion - Saturday kick-off, International break - whoever sells the pass gets the revenue. So if we buy the pass through our website we get the revenue.

But I could be way off the mark.

Why? It's unlikely to have a negative impact on our attendance, and we can sell iFollow passes to fans who can't make it. It's already win-win.

Your correct with the info above but why not play our cards better, they want the fixture moved to a Friday evening to gain financially, So why not negotiate say 35/40% as they can’t do it without us.

Rules are rules, and would need the consent of the EFL. I don't think there will be a massive difference in terms of attendance as MT says. If anything, it may be a good thing in terms of revenue:

- Change is unlikely to make a difference to an away support from the South East. Colchester aren't exactly the best supported team in League Two, 2,300 at their home game against Mansfield a couple of weeks ago.
- Those who are tied up of Saturday are more likely to come, i.e those who play football or cricket, shift workers that work days over the weekend etc.
- Ex-pats who can't make home games can spend a tenner on an iFollow pass.
- Friday night out may be enticing to a few, finish work on the Friday afternoon, go for a few, go to the football.

Suspect the live tv rule is to do with protecting football attendances on Saturdays at 3pm, from televised EPL matches, of which there won't be any in an international break.

The Oldham game will be on iFollow, with Barrow getting the income if booked via BAFC website. If we all watch on iFollow, is the financial support this could generate worth more than the vocal support that would be provided by if we all went to the match? Discuss.

Perhaps so.

All else being equal, likely Mr Hornby and colleagues would prefer the club had their <=£4000 iFollow payments* rather than Oldham benefit from £5000 - £6000 excluding VAT for their tickets plus all the Bovril profits.
