Re: Training Facilities ? Physio
Cooper on Radio Cumbria said he did not want to go on about the lack of training facilities but added that Mark Hetherington is working very hard to resolve the situation but these things don't happen overnight.
Re: Training Facilities ? Physio
So he's been spoken to by the chairman then.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 6:53 pm Cooper on Radio Cumbria said he did not want to go on about the lack of training facilities but added that Mark Hetherington is working very hard to resolve the situation but these things don't happen overnight.

Re: Training Facilities ? Physio
It was the second part of that which surprised me. The implication there is that Mottram Hall is not a 'done deal' otherwise he'd be saying "We move to Mottram Hall in a week's time so that's good" or similar.Moribund wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 6:58 pmSo he's been spoken to by the chairman then.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 6:53 pm Cooper on Radio Cumbria said he did not want to go on about the lack of training facilities but added that Mark Hetherington is working very hard to resolve the situation but these things don't happen overnight.
Don't let the old man in.
Re: Training Facilities ? Physio
Beginning to sound as if this Mottram deal was made verbally over a pub lunch. Sickening to watch tonights NW news and see a bunch of z-list celebrities fooling around on the grass we should be training on.

Re: Training Facilities ? Physio
Mark Cooper on Radio Cumbria stated that we have not trained on a grass pitch this week. This is contrary to what Barrows assistant told AJ on Tuesday at Accrington. When asked if the injuries were just bad luck he stated no. If you can't train properly then you come into a game and play at a high intensity you pick up injuries. He said hopefully they will have access to a grass pitch once a week from next week. Currently Cooper said they are going match to match and training in a gym.

Re: Training Facilities ? Physio
So effectively then the statement made by Paul Hornby which he said we'd have some of the best facilities in League 2 was premature to say the least could say more but the blue tinted sunglasses brigade will come out in his defence with the usual cringeworthy excuses!

Re: Training Facilities ? Physio
Listen to the Cooper interview for yourself it starts at 36 minutes. Apart from the positive sighnings from Leeds the rest is sadly quite depressing. Yes Paul Hornby saying what he did sounds like it was premature. Probably done to calm the hysteria on here regarding the training facilities shambles.blue nige wrote: ↑Fri Sep 03, 2021 7:38 pm So effectively then the statement made by Paul Hornby which he said we'd have some of the best facilities in League 2 was premature to say the least could say more but the blue tinted sunglasses brigade will come out in his defence with the usual cringeworthy excuses!

Re: Training Facilities ? Physio
How long until he walks out? Not any Tuesday games this month so players only get to be on grass once a week training and one game is going to frustrate MC if he can’t get his tactics across. Need to get a proper training ground sorted ASAP. Plenty of fields in south Cumbria!
Re: Training Facilities ? Physio
HOB Friday training on grass?
Away match eve of southern match day training on grass?
Mottram Hall once per week initially?
Future plan?
Were all seven injuries really a consequence of not training on grass? Sure we have had similar injuries to at least some when we were training on grass.
Cue Mr Angry...

So let's get this right, YOU don't believe what Ian Evatt said about training on 4g ,now you don't believe Our Manager Mark Cooper !Hadrian wrote: ↑Fri Sep 03, 2021 8:52 pm HOB Friday training on grass?

You are unbelievable, why would an ex Premier league player brilliant Manager and a proven manager like Mark Cooper make it up ,,?
Just for once take off your ",blue tinted" glasses and except Hornby and Co got it wrong !
Just because myself and others criticise the club for this cockup doesn't mean we don't support the club anymore or any less than you or anybody else ,it just so annoying this could lead to Mark Cooper eventually leaving which is something the fans ,board and players would not want !
Re: Training Facilities ? Physio
Plenty of green green grass nearer holker st. Whats the fuss? Jezz we aint premier league. lets get the players down to HS training.. Lets get some affinity with the town and community... Rugby do it! Tired of the old nutmeg bout training. barropw is surrounded by grass. just do it .. get the land. Sounds so pathetic now.P.ssed off by it. Boring.
Seasons to be cheerful.Part 16 3/4
