There’s a message that the club / CEO needs to take heed of. This small band of willing volunteers don’t do this for reward or recognition but there comes a time when the club need to review the enormity of a post match clean up.spirit of 1990 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 3:21 pm
it won’t be cleared because there is absolutely no one to do it.
We can only do so much and we have jobs already on the go - so there really is a danger of all the rubbish being left.

I didn't see it as a major problem Jonty. I have all day tomorrow so can do it and if necessary go back on Monday.
They can all have a bottle of water and crack on.

It is a problem Elaine, because if you guys didn't do this, then who would? We are 10 years on from doing this back in the day when the club didn't have have anyone else to do this and the volunteers stepped forward. Now we are playing in front of three times the crowds and its still the same hardy bunch giving up their free time.
I just think the club now needs to look at what staffing is needed to operate a full time professional EFL club and get those teams in place.
As Ian said, if no one went tomorrow to clear up, who would?

It is and always has been about saving the club money.
Think how the problem could be solved if people took responsibilty for their own litter. There are always a million and one reasons why they can't that it just isn't worth bothering.
I have had two messages of help anyway.

Unfortunately, the current club staff appear to be very much rushed off their feet . Would probably need an extra few even just to keep things running smoothlyJonty wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 10:30 pm It is a problem Elaine, because if you guys didn't do this, then who would? I know we have recently lost the ticketing Manager and the Hospitality Manager. Two key roles at any football club. Have these jobs been advertised outside of the clubs social media platforms? Do we use jobsites (ie “jobs in football”, i looked and we don't appear to use this site, why don't we? How far out are we reaching to fill these roles?mr_grey wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 11:22 pmUnfortunately, the current club staff appear to be very much rushed off their feet . Guess its because people that look on these websites have experience of such roles and as such expect and demand salaries commensurate with knowledge, professionalism and experience.Jonty wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 11:50 pmI know we have recently lost the ticketing Manager and the Hospitality Manager. Absolutely.. so why only advertise on local club media ?
Re: GMA sponsored by VIV info@vehiclesinvideo.co.uk SC 151000 Acc N 23114065 Ref 704573807
Well that is exactly the point I’m making!? Other clubs use proper job sites/ ie “jobs in football” to advertise for key club roles.

Just put it in a bin. It really is that easy.
Wouldn't be a full mornings work then.

The Club should employ a part-time handyman say to work 3 days a week and in the job description it would be to clean up after much days as well and do enery small jobs up to a certain amount as well the ground is not getting the job done until the club come up with a proper planet never will things get done that shouldn’t get done
