He is not a volunteer. He is the I. T. man. I don't think he would like being referred to as an odd job man.boyliegladbach wrote: ↑Fri Sep 17, 2021 9:09 amI thought we had one, there's always a chap running around doing things with wires and cables, seen him working the bar and fixing things as well. Jumping to conclusions again, you don’t know what he’s being paid, what time he’s giving up whether that be paid, free or part of a ongoing contract.whitty1969 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 17, 2021 1:07 pmBeen there all summer Boylie, comes from Scotland to be on call for matchdays too.boyliegladbach wrote: ↑Fri Sep 17, 2021 9:09 am

Really the only real facts are in what I have stated, you don’t really know, will leave it there as it’s all rather petty and futile!!!whitty1969 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 17, 2021 1:17 pmDon't think so Mark. Nothing made up in my comments. Some fans don't like facts.

Are Barrow fans happy that volunteers turn up and have to clear the below into a bin that they are nearly sitting next to?

So you aren't bothered that people are too lazy to remove their own rubbish if your point is you can't see a bin on a photo? Well obviously the people leaving it there couldn't see the one almost next to them. There are bins all around the ground and it is the usual excuse "are there enough bins"?Back of the net wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 12:19 pmI can’t see a bin on the pic are there enough of them ?whitty1969 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 11:45 am Are Barrow fans happy that volunteers turn up and have to clear the below into a bin that they are nearly sitting next to?
Well yes there are. Using them appears to be a step too far for some.
The majority of people do use the bins and we are grateful for those who do.

Not really that bothered if I’m honest with you. Every ground in the country will have the same issue.

Can I ask if you are one who drops your rubbish or just not bothered if other people do? It interests me as I can't understand the mindset of anyone who thinks it is ok for someone else to pick up what they leave. Obviously someone has to do it or it would end up as a rat infested rubbish tip.

pArt of problem is people chomp stuff at ht or take their coffee etc to there seat. When they usually place or drop items under the seat whilst they watch game.At ft cos it out is sight and they wrapped in result they just forget it as out of sight out of mind. There are so many people in main stand that troop back and forward passed me from about 20 mins before ht going to lol or get refreshments it would be like swimming against the tide to dispose of your rubbish in a bin at ht.Limited re number of bins allowed I think owing to safety restrictions on obstacles re any quick fire escape I think.

You have to walk past a bin wherever you are going in the ground. I bet if they dropped money they wouldn't forget to pick it up. Never heard of restricted bin numbers before. When did that rule come in? None of ours would obstruct exiting the ground.
Perhaps it would be interesting to trial not picking up litter and see if anyone noticed at the next game.
