Wish I'd stayed in bed, up for a 7:00am kick-off, probably the worse game I've watched Barrow play for a long time, but at least we didn't get beaten by an even more clueless team. Only good point from today's game was the point 'earned' for it staying goalless

Last month we didn’t have a win in 6 and everyone was complaining about us letting in stupid goals.
Three clean sheets - 2 wins and a draw - and everyone’s still complaining.
That second half certainly wasn’t pretty but an away point against an improving Carlisle isn’t the end of the world.

Flat back 5 , 3 decent footballers in centre midfield bypassed and back to front direct balls up to a target man who isn’t really very good at being a target man. Well it got us a point and it made us more solid, so it looked like it has had the effect Cooper desired, but for me they were there for the taking if we’d have been a bit braver.

Let’s not dress that up - the two wins were against a non-league side and Leicester u23s. We’re back at it in league two now and those performances are far from acceptable. If that’s the entertainment that we’re going to get then the crowds will soon drop off. To play like that against a side who are second bottom and shipped in goals all season is poor.

Been waiting a long time for today - what an anti-climax.

60 yard balls to Zanzala, who when he does win them has nobody around him. Gordon well off the pace today and when those two go off we have nothing (if we had anything in the first place). Midfield dominated in the second half and why it took so long to bring Hutton in I’ll never know.

6 arrests apparently. It’s a shame that for elderly and families to get to their seats, they had to walk through a concourse of drunk teenagers jumping into them, smoke bombs and people urinating on the floor. I’m all for a day on the lash with the lads, but at least have a bit of respect for the people around you.

You need to watch and listen to Coopers interview after the game and he explains Huttons absence. Its what I have said all season. He needs to work on his defence. He is aware we have sacrificed some attacking flair to be more solid at the back. Now that appears to be better he said we need to work on the other end of the pitch. He knows what's required. Keep the faith

Just saying it how it is.
We are 15th in league two. In the second round of the cup facing a potential trip to Ipswich.
Can’t see why people are moaning to be honest.
I dreamed about this a few years ago. I’m certainly going to enjoy our time in the sun and not waste it moaning and griping constantly.

Spot on he basically said the players can't play the way he has been trying too , so has gone more defensive , agreed not a good watch but like main stand sats he knows his stuff he'll get it right imo ,
Starting with a hold up striker in Jan ..

Make no mistake had we played like that v anyone else today and we'd have been beaten, we sat far too deep inviting pressure, I don't buy into the sacrificing styles rubbish, if that's his idea of strengthening the defence we'll get beat more often than not and the gates will drop quickly. Like the 2nd half we gifted them chances and created absolutely zero, it worse than anything Rob Kelly rustled up.

They were there for the taking and we just didn't have the bottle to turn up and play!

That was shite

Wish someone had sat on my knee to block the view.

Oh and someone seemed to have forgotten the incontinence pants for some of the boys who were having their first beer today.

Wasn't just that.. throwing fireworks..flares and blocking of emergency exits...didn't feel safe at all. Did Carlisle provide more tickets than allocated seats?

I’d agree to a point that Hutton does need to work on his defence, but those behind him have been more of a problem this season. Our biggest defensive weakness has been a)our pace at the back b) the fact that we struggle to defend a decent cross into the box c) trying to play out from the back when we haven’t needed to.

The points we’ve got on board have been down to the attacking options we have, particularly from midfield - great additions in Gotts and Stevens, but they aren’t suited to the style of play we saw today. Hutton provides us with quality balls into the box, as does Brough from the other side. Banks dominated the games early in the season, but now seems to have been told to drop deeper and deeper.

No problem at all with a defensive focus, but don’t strip the life out of the team to keep a clean sheet against a team that’s been leaking goals and sit 23rd in the league. There needs to be a balance and it’s his job to find it.
