We’ve been in Cumbria for nearly 50 years. The LA postcode means nowt. Bootle has an LA post code and has never been in Lancashire.

We are Cumbrian. Get over it.

Amazing how many people think the LA post code actually means Lancashire, it doesnt ,it just means that you are part of the Lancaster postal area, it also covers parts of north Yorkshire.

Aye for the people who believe that - go to Burnley and tell a resident there with a the post code BB4 (BB standing for Blackburn) that they live in Blackburn

Regarding Milnthorpe Blue's comment about sitting in allocated seats,when.myself and my three friends arrived at the ground half an hour before kick off,we showed the stewards our tickets and asked them where we were supposed to sit as it looked like our seats were already occupied we were told by the stewards to go down to the front of the stand where there were four spare seats on the second row on the end.I would like to suggest that because of the lack of organisation within the ground is why people ended up not sitting in their allocated seats.This was the first time a lot of people had been to the Carlisle ground and asked for help in finding their seats but weren,t given any.

The clubs should have just said sit where you like, which is what the stewards said. The way tickets were sold there was no option to choose a preference or buy in groups
Some fans like to stand at the back others like to sit at the front. The only issue I had was my seat was facing the wrong way and I had to watch the match.

'Cumbrian' Derby?
Somebody once called me a Cumbrian when working in London. I proudly informed him I was a Lancastrian. He asked: 'What's the difference?' I informed him that the postal code of my home address began with LA and that people in Lancashire don't talk funny.
