Has anyone been watching the Buxton v Morecambe match.Buxton have a striker called Diego de Girolamo who looks quite impressive and very nearly scored for Buxton in the opening minutes of the game.He took his shot on instinct without hesitation and could be the sort of player Barrow could need. Has anyone got any thoughts on him?

26 years old, 28 goals in 48 apps at Buxton, former Italy under 18/19/20 player.

Ipswich striker James Norwood, 31, has reportedly been transfer-listed as his contract is up in Summer 2022, January window would be perfect to make a move. Proven goal scorer at efl2, 48 goals in 161 apps @ Forest Green, and more recently 82 in 165 @ Tranmere. Even at Ipswich with 20 in 56. Would be a great addition with goals and experience, this is the calibre of player MC should be looking at imo.

National League N player of the month for November. Goalscoring midfielder with numerous assists. Check out his Twitter feed for some 'superb' goals. Big problem would be his contract. He signed a new one until June 2023 earlier this year. Could see Fylde playing hardball after the Evatt circus.

Wasn,t Mark Cooper impressed with a lad that played for Holker Old Boys against Barrow before the beginning of the season in a friendly.I can,t recall his name,but could he be someone the club is looking at?

If you read the Ipswich Town Forum Norwood like other past footballers has problems off the field .
If as quoted they are true need to keep away.

We need to look at a player who has moved up the leagues below and consistently adjusted to them and has pace.

If you read the Ipswich Town Forum Norwood like other past footballers has problems off the field .
If as quoted they are true need to keep away.

We need to look at a player who has moved up the leagues below and consistently adjusted to them and has pace.

I think James Norwood has been linked to a move back to Tranmere Rovers now Micky Mellon is back there as manager.

If it's one of the Newby's it'd be more likely to be Elliot (Stockport - but on loan at Halifax) as Alex at Rochdale is playing and scoring for them regularly.
George Thomason at Bolton is another - very promising midfield player - who Bolton might loan out in January if they bring players in like last season.

Hornby didn't say it was a local player, he said it was someone "who is at a club local to us".

That is very vague though and open to interpretation. Could easily be someone at Carlisle, Morecambe, Fylde etc.
