Fantastic in the second half, what a monumental effort. Robbed of a replay because the PL sides are a bit tired.

It’s hard to stomach isn’t it.

IMHO it’s another example of favouring the greedy 6 over everybody else.

I thought the reason for dropping replays for the rest of the competition was due to Covid cases increasing, to avoid extra fixtures when clubs may already be suffering a lot of postponements? This affects all clubs in the competition, not just the big ones.

The more I watch it, the worse it gets. As someone says, Premiership club in the same round of the cup has VAR and that gets awarded.

Yes, Cooper is often criticised for complaining about refs, but that is clear cut. Arm out, you can tell he knew what he had done by the way he jumped back as if stung by a wasp!

I thought the one in the first half wasn’t a pen but this one definitely was! Even from the away end at the other side of the ground it looked clear, but this absolutely confirms it. I can understand why Mark Cooper is so annoyed (although it is a low bar with MC …)

The referee clearly favoured the championship club.
The little get reminded of that other get that officiated when we played Wigan at home in the cup, he clearly favoured them as well.

First time I’ve seen the handball incident. Speechless as to why he hasn’t given it. Absolutely gobsmacked.

Great effort Barrow - did yourselves proud after looking dead and buried at half time.

Great effort by the team, alas we are on the wrong end of the result but yesterday we showed we can battle, play against any opposition and score goals. It’s no good just playing like they have in the cup and when on tv, the league is more important and we now have to play like we did yesterday for the remainder of the season and stay in this league.

Thing is if we had started the game the way the way we battled and showed spirit with 10 men I think the game would have been a lot different. My only gripe about our game plan yesterday is that we appeared to start very cagily when we have shown time and again that when we do play with a bit more urgency we can cause a lot of problems for teams. In the end we just had to open up and go for it and what a difference it made. I know we went into the game with some key players missing but I just wanted is to start a lot quicker than we did. Like Ipswich game. Other than that- it was monumental fight at the end and now that I’ve seen that handball I’m just gutted because that could have been the chance to write a bit of history for these players. Brilliant pre match at the East Dene WMC who accommodated us brilliantly. Spot on to whoever helped organise that.
