And sent Mark Ellis off as a culmination of several unsavoury Barton-inspired incidents.
Mark Ellis deserved to be sent off he let us all down that day !
Don't dispute that though confirms the 'previous' mentioned by MC maybe involving things we weren't party to .However the bloke has previous. Google Ross Joyce you'll get at least a couple of pages of complaints from the likes of Sheridan,Cowley,Wellens,Evatt and Hasselbaink about this card-happy ref.

Joyce was also the ref that gave the late postponement call for our home game against Exeter last season.

Minute 32 to minute 35. We get 3 minutes of chatting and it's brilliant.

Not a lot of press coverage which is a but unfair after what the club did to keep in the game.

Would have been right up there if the ref hadn’t bottled the last minute penalty shout (if we’d scored it that is!)

Probably also have been in the headlines if Beadling hadn't had a rush of blood to the head.

As it was, normally we would have also had a very lucrative replay, no doubt on TV.

10 shots on target and 9 of them went in. 😂
He won't be the only one returning to watch this game repeatedly.
One to live long in the memory especially for those who were there.

Just watched the Man Utd v Aston Villa match tonight and guess what,Aston Villa had two goals disallowed through VAR .Gary Linekar and all the panel agreed it should be used in all 3rd round matches and not just ones that involve Premier League grounds and Clubs. If we had had it against Barnsley we would have been awarded a penalty and through to the fourth round by now and the club will be £85000 richer by now.The Premier League have been pandered to too much now by allowing them to bend the rules to suit their clubs by:-
1 Asking for replays to be cancelled
2 Asking for VAR to be used in their grounds and not enabling it to be used in others.
3 The EFL not standing up tothe Premier League and allowing them to dictate and alter the rules of the F A Cup.

Absolutely spot on.
Either use it in all cup games or none of them. Not a level playing field.
