Same old story - even with 3 new Strikers in the team - we can't BUY a single goal.

Newport Commentators were very complimentary about Barrow, saying they'd seen far worse teams, who came away with points. But Football is about SCORING GOALS, which is something we're pretty useless at.

The Players fault or the Managers? Or both?

FOR THE RECORD: Goals scored in League Games, excluding penalties & OG's.

NOV: 4 Games - 0 Goals.
DEC: 3 Games - 0 Goals.
JAN: 5 Games - 2 Goals.

2 goals in 12 leagues Games won't win or draw you many games.

If that doesn't change soon, as Private Frazer would say, "We're doomed, doomed I tell you".

On paper probably one we’d expect to lose. But we need to be picking up scrappy points to stay up, we can’t afford to lose every game we’re expected to.

Something needs to change and I’m hoping it’s not the management.

The sad thing about this is after last season we should NOT be here again IF we survive the board have to take a long hard look at WHY we are here again Training, player's preparation ( all these injuries) and Cooper's position!
for 3 months now people are saying it'll be OK it definitely isn't!
Seriously I know your a true supporter, but the board managed to bring cooper to Barrow, a manager I believed at the time was an exceptional signing for us, his record and knowledge at this level was second to none. The board have backed him whenever he wanted to bring someone in, they themselves said the training ground situation wasn’t ideal, but was resolved. What more could they have done, come on share with the group your wisdom.

I agree mate BUT surely Cooper has to look at himself because he has to be somewhere in the equation because if we keep conceding early it's up to him to sort it surely?

It will change-we just lost to a team we were expected to lose against. The new signing(s) will get their act together and encourage the rest, just you wait and see.

Read my posts I, I've made valid points I also agree about Cooper but recruitment motivation and tactics are all down to him and even the most loyal supporter must question some things he's done or said on the training Cooper said that they were now at Salford but he didn't seem impressed!

Its the way we lost though- going two down in the first 20 minutes. Giving ourselves a mountain to climb again. How many times!?. Is Cooper and the players going into games “expecting to lose” I hope not
We all know who’s fault it is Jonty, the board need to reign Cooper in ,none of this is acceptable and his comments about pre contracts even if it's right just leave the player out because now all its done is any player whose not playing well comes under scrutiny absolutely so unprofessional,
Your right Nige, as I’ve said before…I don’t believe for one minute a manager of his experience can have a set of players playing this bad without a reason. The buck stops with him, I’m sick of hearing his excuses week-in-week out. Kelly was given a shitier stick than this last season but there was none of this blaming anyone and everything.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Of course they won’t be. I’m just stating a fact that Newport were expected to win, bookies odds are usually a fairly simple guide to that

Completely agree; the full structure off the field needs bringing into line with our league status. No messing about next summer scrambling about for training facilities anywhere we can, no messing about bringing in signings the manager may or may not have wanted (and just the recruitment side of things in general really). If we stick with Cooper then we have to put everything in place so he can’t moan about issues like these (which he has a point about tbh)

We are the smallest club off the field by a long way. You only have to look at Sutton / Harrogate who have adapted far better to EFL than Barrow. We have struggled with the off field. Different debate though- one for another day.
