How depressing supporting our team has become imho. There is a lot of valid points raised by the posters and I’m leaning towards the ones that feel they are sick of Coopers bemoaning of everything. I hate to compare but a previous manager would have resolved the issue before it got to any magnitude, that’s what I feel Cooper doesn’t seem able to do. I haven’t checked but my betting is we have to be bottom of the form league, if we continue like this it will be National league football next season. I asked earlier in this thread where was Josh Kay today, seems it wasn’t covid cos he was at the ground, injured I doubt it as he was there at the end Tuesday. I think it’s just Coopers thinking to leave out the form player and start somebody else. I hear people saying there is no dressing room harmony and looking at the way Matt Platt has slid down the performance chart I’m beginning to suspect that something is amiss. IMHO that should be Coopers last game in charge….but it won’t be. Sad day to go along with the rest this season.

I listened to Radio Cumbria to the Carlisle commentary Team, they are in a dire position they are looking for a forward to score goals too! so most of the teams in the bottom half of the league are lets say average to poor so keep faith guys we will be fine M cooper will turn it around you can be certain of that if its a centre back thats coming in to replace platt so be it as he"s been awful this season m cooper is to experienced to see us relegated by hook or crook we will be fine

IMHO that should be Coopers last game in charge….but it won’t be. Sad day to go along with the rest this season.

I agree but as you say it won't be as the board will have to pay up his contract - not for the first time with a manager!

They won't sack him as they will be relying on Oldham and Sc@@@horpe being relegated.

its an opinion not a statement based on what i have seen this season there is a good team buried somewhere in there we have seen signs this season yes we are going through a tough patch but so are all the teams around us

Completely agree; the full structure off the field needs bringing into line with our league status. No messing about next summer scrambling about for training facilities anywhere we can, no messing about bringing in signings the manager may or may not have wanted (and just the recruitment side of things in general really). If we stick with Cooper then we have to put everything in place so he can’t moan about issues like these (which he has a point about tbh)

We are the smallest club off the field by a long way. You only have to look at Sutton / Harrogate who have adapted far better to EFL than Barrow. We have struggled with the off field. Different debate though- one for another day.

Don’t know enough about Sutton, but Harrogate have had the same setup, manager and Board for years. Continuity is the key! We have wallowed about without a rudder since Evatt walked out. That’s why we need to stick with Cooper and plan to build.

Dark days for this great football club of mine.

Dark days? I assure you there's been a lot of darker years than the last 1.5 seasons. Barrow have never had it so good. Yes we're not scoring freely at the moment. I have faith it'll come good and if it doesn't I'll still be there at Holker St.

The mind boggles if anyone would choose Beadling over White……..Beadling has not done a single thing in a Barrow shirt. He’s dreadful

Haven't seen enough of Beadling in this league for barrow due to injury.

My point is white isn't good enough.

Not saying who's better but the 3 together I can't see a player from them 3 dictating play, unlocking a defence with a pass, 3 battlers, liitle else.

Well said, Wasn’t long ago when we were under Paul cox and in a play off position and only getting about 800 at home for one game. We’ve come along leaps and bounds in such a short time. Like our owners said In the qna they aren’t used to failing, pretty sure they’ll try everything to keep us in this league

Beadling contributed nothing,a midfielder who played most of last season and had zero assists,let’s hope Gotts is fit for Tuesday to take his place,we need someone who can get up and support Holloway who did well on his debut if not Gotts there has to be better options in Kay,Devitt and Williams or even Luke James in a deeper role,after 2 minutes we are questioning our defenders desire to head a ball and for the first half the difference in the teams was that one side wanted to win balls in both boxes and one didn’t

There was a spell where Hutton seemed to be the scapegoat, so he was in and out of the team. Ellis seemed to then be our problem after his ban, so he was in and out of the team. Brown has been in and out all season. Kay is another who starts a game (man of the match on Tuesday) then seems to be out of favour for 3. Stevens has lately been benched after a promising start.

In my opinion, the season was going well until Cooper so seemly decided we weren’t defending well enough and wanted us to show more grit. Since those words, we’ve never shown any form of an attacking style of play (other than 20 minutes at Barnsley).

Is it trust? Is it style? Is it fitness/injuries? Is it selection?
