The way Rooney left was not great but there is no loyalty in football.
He needs to do what's right for him and it was obvious that he was not in Challinors plans so coming back here was easier for him.
If he makes the difference people will forget.

Whatever you think about John Rooney he can score goals something that has sadly been lacking of late.I for was was disappointed when he left and our performances dropped when he did.Be is a player who can inspire the rest of the team and I am sure he will.We already have a lot of good technical players,but were missing that central cog to drive the rest of the players forward and I think it could be him.He will show a lot of the younger players what can be achieved and hopefully push them forward to a higher performance level as confidence in your own ability will rub off on the younger players.
Mark Cooper himself said we need to up our performance early on in the came by scoring goals,so hopefully Tuesday night we will see a greatly improved Barrow side.

Think Rooney may be part of the solution but remember we had a decent centre forward in Quigley.
We have always had a greater percentage of possession in games but no one up front to finish ,still think this will be a issue unless we bring in a experienced centre forward.

As pleased as I am that John is back at the home of football, part of the reason he left was the travelling to Barrow, his wife working nights etc. Just surprised he couldn't get anywhere closer when he realised he was bench-warming at Stockport. Will be our highest wage earner now

If doesn’t start scoring goals or creating them from the off can see him getting plenty of stick.We appear according to Stockport to have paid considerable sum for him.Believe Rooney said wouldn’t play before for us if we didn’t sell him.Mr Hornby would probably resent every pound spent this time but as an accountant realises we cannot afford to go down.Mark Cooper doing his best to strengthen side.Never dull here.

I'll wait until I see if the 31 year old John Rooney is near the level of the 29 year old John Rooney. If he is then he will be a huge asset and far and away the best player in our current team. I have to say I've rarely been more amazed at a Barrow signing and it proves without a doubt that, as many of us knew, Rooney Barrow left purely for financial reasons as do 99.9% of footballers. At least his return shows that he wants to play and not just be sitting on the bench. Could just do with Stockport leaving Quigley out now!!!!

I also see the agent in question tried to get Rooney to Oldham. So our big exciting signing is a 30 odd year old who's fallen out of favour at a non league club and who didn't want to be here last time he was? Forgive me for not being particlarly whelmed...
