Do we have to embarrass ourselves with the usual nonsense about 'snowflakes'? Let's be honest, that narrative is mostly middle aged and older people who can't accept the fact that the some of the stuff they liked 'back in the day' is maybe a bit offensive and can't handle being told that maybe, just maybe, some of the stuff they thought was OK growing up, wasn't. It makes them feel uncomfortable'.

I think this incident depends on what was said. It seems very harsh. I expect we'll appeal but can claim no knowledge as to whether we will or not.

Would the club appealing it send out the wrong message though? It must've been considered serious enough given the ban, fine and the fact he has to go on some sort of awareness course.

If I was minded to I could accuse you of ageism with that post.
What evidence have you that it is mostly that age group.I almost feel like apologising for living so long with different ideals and principles to nowadays.
It happens quite a lot on this forum. Recently comments shouted from the stands regarding the play is put down to old people.
In today's society everyone can take exception to everything.

Let’s not forget that we have not seen the details or evidence and that Cooper has denied it. As we don’t know what was alleged to have been said, I don’t think it is reasonable to say “Sorry Mr Cooper, you are wrong”.
Let’s not forget also that the standard of proof required by an FA disciplinary body will be lower than a court of law.

Well I did say IF I was minded. I didn't take exception to your opinion just simply pointing out how what anyone posts or says can be taken exception to.
Being a certain age doesn't absolve anyone from being anything.

What makes a farce of this is that you see officials abused by players every week on tv but they put up with it THIS shouldn't be the norm this is where the FA fall down no CONSISTENCY!

This saga raises the issue of all that’s wrong with football. Constantly abusing officials screaming in peoples faces it’s threatening behavior off the pitch. If it is sexist comments would he say that to his wife, daughter ? Same goes for the abuse male refs get would that happen in the pub no because it would probably end up with a punch to the chops. More respect is needed on and off the pitch.

End of the day football is a ruthless results business. Some people will be outraged about Cooper now, some people will be outraged at the punishment handed out. If he keeps us up then by the end of the season no-one will care less either way.
Look at all the furore at first when we abused the furlough system last year, soon got forgotten about

Cannot condone what MC has 'allegedly' said. My argument is with the size of the punishment and the inconsistency. At our level the likes of Yems,Evans and Barton are serial offenders who's punishment is nowhere as severe. Higher up we have Rooney admitting in print that he 'wanted to inflict a career-ending injury on someone' and gets a slap on the wrist for his outpourings. Premiership managaersberate officials on a weekly basis and get petty-cash level fines.All we ask for is transparency and consistency. As an aside some players might improve for not having MC in their ear for 90 minutes.

In society generally these days, it seems that saying things (not just to females) seems to be viewed more severely than physical assult. The 'Sticks and stones.....' saying no longer applies.

Those people shouting stuff he bites back at are morons and moan constantly anyway. He needs to remember that and try and ignore them.
