Following our recent tiff captain I wholeheartedly agree!!! Have a bit of scran before and after. Random pie or burger at 3.45 makes no sense.Sea Dog Sam wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 2:02 pm Regarding burgers, pies etc etc
Does anyone really care?

Club should put out to tender . Guessing that no local companies will apply now... why didn't Delish want to supply pies anymore?Jonty wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 4:08 pmI wouldn’t understand the move to provide catering “in house” for the fanzone. The liabilities, insurances, catering equipment upkeep, hygiene certs all need to be maintained, then there’s the initial outlay for all that stuff on top of the resourcing and payroll and then there’s the risk that people may “just not like what’s on offer” and the waste. Then you have to consider its a 23 match thing with a selling window of 3-4 hours a game, (but a full days work for those doing this)
That’s a lot of burgers to shift before it becomes a viable income stream.
Surely having local street food vendors, offers variety and takes all that accountability away from the club. I find it very hard to see where a viable income stream would come from if it was to go in house. The trade for the club comes from the extra footfall using the bar. and reasonable charge to the vendors for having the pitch. Reasonable so they can make it worth their while too. It has to be beneficial for both parties.
Re: Southwards no longer serving burgers
Probably because every company the club use don’t get paid? Wasn’t that the case for the dunes? Hence why they got the stadium sponsormr_grey wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 7:11 pmClub should put out to tender . Just talk on the terrace, said “probably” so nothing to say I’m 100% correct. It was a good source that told me about the dunes getting the stadium sponsorship because of an unpaid bill though

Baring in mind we are at home tomorrow seems a bit odd the club haven’t posted on social media advertising that we are bringing catering in house and what the options will be etc if that is indeed the plan

If the Club have not paid local Companies take them to court what is the problem and make it public, if not shop all the scaremongering.

Re: Southwards no longer serving burgers
Ive heard from a very good source that they wanted 10% of the gate so 3000 crowd they would want £300 which wasnt viable for one of the earlier vendors so they packed it in

Solidarity with Southwards I say. Their burgers were magic!
Re: Southwards no longer serving burgers
Well the dunes did out bid another company for the naming rights on the stadium so your theory is dead in the water

Don’t think it right that allegations like this made on forum based on gossip or based on historical events of non payment .Club not perfect by any means but this sort of chat I think is harmful. No problem with facts if true but all this reliable source stuff just stirs up trouble in long run.

Small town like Barrow or big city such as Carlisle is no excuse for spreading what could well be bullsh!t.Back of the net wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 7:48 pmBarrow is a small town and Furness people talk. The issues with the electrics were not unforeseen.

Re: Southwards no longer serving burgers
It's been removed, I think, from the original Facebook post but the club's letter to Southwards suggested it was to be taken in-house from next season. What that means for the remainder of this season will be answered this afternoon, I suppose.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 7:49 pm Baring in mind we are at home tomorrow seems a bit odd the club haven’t posted on social media advertising that we are bringing catering in house and what the options will be etc if that is indeed the plan
Don't let the old man in.
