Must be awful to not get bills paid on time and then when you do pay what you think is right in the circumstances! 🤭

We're losing a relegation battle and look set to go out of the league.
Yet, instead of a rallying call to the fans to pump up the volume against Walsall, the official programme devotes a full page to the eating of junk food and celebrating the fact that we'll soon have our own burger van! :?

Speaks volumes doesn't it?

Yes - but they'll be the best burgers in the National League! ;)

Yeah imagine the club not explaining their side of the story when there has been countless posts on this thread about them. It’s called current affairs and from what was said first on this thread needed addressing. I guess southwards didn’t want the truth coming out as it paints them in a bad light as well

Not sure any message from Paul Hornby in the programme would create a better home atmosphere tbh. Far better he uses it to clear up an issue that is evident from the many pages on this thread that has become a major issue for some fans, honest and open

Seems like he just wanted to clear the air. 6 pages on a burger van, it’s like those bizarre nwemail headlines. “Seagull steals Greg’s baguette!”
“Shock! Burger van replaced with Costa, they are now selling burger and chips outside the soccer bar for a tenner”
Most people on here just love to moan. Tomorrow’s programme does go onto mention pizzas and hot baguettes in the huts, who knows maybe a seagull will knick one and drop it on the refs head, cue the 7 page thread!

Disagree.

Good response from the Chairman to nonsense thread about marginal issue.

If it has to be a pre-match burger, plan your eating and try the burger at The Duke for £15 - nicer surroundings than the Soccer Bar car park and better presentation.

Or there's a more economical offer at The Furness Railway. Or you could join the merry band in the McD car park.

Should have had in house catering for years ago, at least that’s being addressed. The more appropriate response would be to say nothing. Slating local companies won’t help the club in the future when the begging bowl goes round pre season. We all know the clubs reputation is poor within the locality regarding payment etc .

Or at least it might be if the club practiced what they preach and paid people on time themselves.

I can understand the Chairman writing what he did.
He and alot of others have put money into the football and must think how ungrateful the fans are with Directors investing money and all the stress that goes with it.
It's not Putins Russia or Johnson secret parties so its open to scrutiny.
We are still adjusting to life in the EFL and it shows on and off the field lets hope its not our last season .
The fact that issue is raised shows how far we have to go.
You are dealing with individuals and not all will act how you think they should hence the chatter.
I do know the club has been late in paying people I had a one man band work for me for a week.
As soon as he had finished i paid him.
I got talking to him about the soccer who I've followed for over 55 years and he was saying how he had to chase them up several times to get paid.
The man went on to say how he was a one man band and lived from week to week and cash flow was a problem.
The cost of his labour was reasonable and not exorbitant.

Issues like this are a distraction and need addressing to stop the unnecessary chatter we have enough disorganisation on the field.
Yes we play pretty football but cannot finish.
I've heard the Dunes Stadium is being renamed King Canute.
A win is a must today no more excuses.

Yeah, This further strengthens my belief that buying a programme is a waste of money.

What has that got to do with burgers?
