Always one that gets right behind whoever we have in charge of the players and I really hoped Cooper and Dryden would bring us stability. But It was all becoming an exercise in futility sadly.
The ball and our destiny is now firmly in the players hands now. They will need our fullest support over the next nine games.

Certainly Cooper's wasn't. His after-match interview made no sense at all, so his departure might just give the players a lift as they might get someone, even as a stopgap, who knows how to motivate players.

I bet the players themselves will be well pleased, and hopefully give their all to keep the club in the league.

From the day of his appointment, to me he has appeared dour and uninspiring , for supporters certainly ... and quite possibly for players too... and yet he came with a long record of experience and, one presumed, knowledge and contacts to at least ensure a comfortable place in this league . Nothing ever shone through publicly but despondency and a lack of ideas ...

Without knowing it for sure , I always had the feeling that his downbeat style would have cast gloom, insecurity and despondency , rather than confidence , through the dressing room ... I hope we have someone who can come in and lift the players . Lack of confidence has been a problem all season ... and while there is still time in terms of 'games remaining' for us to pull clear of any serious relegation worries ... looking at the fixture list we need someone with more drive and belief to come in and work with the players to inspire them, in order to ensure it.

Good. His ban hasn't helped but the stats speak for themselves. First half yesterday was dreadful and infront of biggest crowd in moons. I've never liked him, but thought he would take us to next level. Unfortunately he might have taken us back 5 years.

Shocked they have sacked him but I'm pleased, I've never liked the bloke and never wanted him anywhere near the club. The club must have spent a fortune on paying out to ex managers feel sorry for them they have backed cooper.

The next appointment needs to be right, we need proper football people sifting through the applicants and proper due diligence, the people who chose the last 3 have got it wrong and its been costly.
