I would give it to Jason Taylor till the end of the season and then hopefully we still in the football league we can take it from there,it’s not that different to last season and getting Kelly to do it , the plus being he knows the players and the club rather than bringing in someone from outside ,Taylor obviously loves the club and has lots of passion and that might go along way to getting enough points to stay up

I did say at meet the manager at beginning of season we need to play like we eat meat and potato pies (good northern grit) and not like grass eaters (soft southern fxxkers) and I guessed I was right even after getting laughed at.
On to next manager just hope we stay up. I think we will stay up

We won't get a decent manager this season as all the decent ones still have jobs so we have to hope one or two senior players might have more idea than Cooper!
If we stay up we should not be looking at all the failed lower league managers who go from one failure to another around the lower leagues. We should be looking at National League managers who have had some success. Examples are Luke Garrard who has consistently done well at Boreham Wood, Pete Wild who has done a fantastic job at Halifax without great resources and Neil Ardley who did a good job at Notts County and is now doing a good job at Solihull. Whether any of them would see Barrow as a more attractive job than their current clubs is another matter.

No shit Sherlock - put someone in charge until end of season and then take our time to appoint the right person. Our choice of managers since evatt has been abysmal and no doubt cost us a fortune, we’ve got to get it right this time

He's hardly working his way up the leagues, and not reslly setting the NPL alight with Lancaster.

Need someone in place before the end of the season in order to assess the team in readiness for retained/released list and proper summer recruitment

I couldn't believe when we (Swindon) appointed Brown and I was delighted when he was sacked. Was completely useless at Southend last time out as well. You'd go down with him in charge.

Luke Garrard has done a decent job at Boreham Wood but there is 0% chance he'd up sticks to manage Barrow - none. Don't know why people keep mentioning him. The Pete Wild shout is an interesting one. Would need to look more into his career as I hadn't heard of him till the last year or so. In hindsight, Neil Ardley (who was linked heavily with Barrow before Cooper) would have been a better bet. Just need to find someone with ambition, drive and personality. Last thing Barrow need is another southern based manager moaning about the wind and the training facilities.

Well, he is working his way up as he was at Nelson, who were in Holker OB’s league at the time.

Now he is at Lancaster City and is improving them…and that’s what we need, improvement.
