Could not believe the result today.We have all been asking for strikers and little did we know they were hiding in plain sight.Phil Brown saw something in this team that obviously Mark Cooper couldn't find.These are the same players who not so long ago couldn't hit a barn door.Well done to the players.Now you have found the net please do the same to Salford on Monday.

A word of appreciation to Gareth and his team for the fantastic condition of the pitch.
It looked superb today and especially the goalmouths which are usually more like a quagmire at this stage of the season.

Dropping Banks a masterstoke. Rooney takes the reins . Beadling and Gotts adding drive in the middle . On reflection, this was the Rooney who lead us to National League glory. Brown getting a tune out of a fitter looking squad. No sideways backwards negative crab football. We’ve always had the players. This system worked. When did we last beat the top of the league team 4-0? Question is can we keep it going?

Wasn't 4-0 but we beat Chelmsford 3-0 last season who, I think, were top of the league. Some of us actually got in to see that on a rather wet and windy December day in 2020. Must be something about Barrow playing top of the table teams at Holker St!

However, we must move on and capitalise on this win.

Of course I don't want us to go down and of course I'm happy with yesterday's performance but it has nothing to do with what we need next season to avoid this happening again. Presumably, you ignored my earlier post saying the performance was a welcome treat?
Like everybody else I'm desperate that we stay in EFL2 but, if we do, it will be a relief not a triumph and we are only in this position because of absolutely terrible recruitment in the strikers area.
What I'm afraid will happen is that if we scrape survival some of these players (mainly strikers) who have been poor for the whole season will suddenly become good enough.
And, as a journalist, I would expect you to at least get your facts correct. The first time I posted that I thought we would be relegated was on March 30th after the Leyton Orient match although I did say much earlier in the season in a discussion with Suffolk Blue that based on what I'd seen up to then that we would finish in the bottom 6. That will prove to be accurate. I've also posted may times that we were in danger of relegation. That has also proved to be accurate. However, there is a big difference between believing what will happen to wanting it to happen!
