That's a rather one-sided view of things. 8 games against teams, bar one, in the promotion challenge. The first 3 games he assessed what he had (an unfit bunch) and why they weren't performing. Since then, the performances have been entertaining and every team has had to battle hard against us. If we had put in all season performances like these last few against the Hartlepools, Rochdales and Harrogates of this world there's no way we'd be in the bottom 4.

To be fair, it wasn't Broony's remit to get X points. It was his remit to keep Barrow in the EFL. Which he did.

Banks is a unit and he needs to work on his tackling and presence over the summer. He should be crunching and rattling the oppo and supporting the forward driving players. He was my favourite early season but his attitude has really disappointed me.

Ok, fair enough. However, I'd say there is a big difference between securing league status on the back of three great results, rather than on the back of 9 straight defeats. You're giving Brown absolutely no credit for Barrow retaining their status, which to me is very harsh.

Don't understand the obsession with this bloke. Until a couple of weeks ago he'd overseen 10 games without a win in the National League. They even managed to lose at home to Dover. Wild is a more credible shout but I'm not sold on a National League manager. Appleton seems to last a couple of seasons anywhere before being punted.

Think that’s certainly the case with Ollie Banks his credit has been bled dry and also suffering from yellow card itis. Hopefully we will see the same dependable Banks next season as we did for the mainstay of the first half of this, his stock will grow once again and many will soon be depositing their faith and interest in his ability once again
