Very feasible. There is a thread on their forum discussing the length of his contract. Seems to be feeling that it was only short term to the end of the season with an extension triggered by promotion. Trouble is they can't get a definitive answer from the BOD leading to cynical speculation that there recent bad form,just scraping into the play-offs,is down to the fact that he doesn't want the extension. Considering they have lost the most wanted non- and league striker to injury and several players signed by the recently sacked manager have apparently 'downed tools' because they disagreed with his sacking it is a miracle they hung onto the spot.Has a couple of promotions on his CV and recently said he craves to take Chesterfield back to the EFL though who knows how he might feel if they crash out of the play-offs.

Supposedly on around 5k a week at chesterfield. Wonder if that’s within our reach?

Struggling to believe Barrow are waiting on someone who may or may not get promoted to the EFL. Why would Wild, Cook or whoever potentially win promotion and then leave to join Barrow? Implication is we need our target to fail to get the man we want. Doesn't sound like a great plan with the clock ticking fast on the close season.

The only reason Paul Cook is at Chesterfield is because he has an infinity with them from previously winning the League 2 title. He is on record as saying he wouldn't have joined any other non-league club. He also has the L2 title with Portsmouth and L1 title with Wigan on his CV . No novice.
