Can we improve on 3,200 next season ?

For all things Barrow AFC. Keep discussions civil and fair, we're all Barrow aren't we!

For many years Tranmere played their home games on Friday nights. It was very popular and undoubtedly boosted gates. Don't know why it stopped but it was still going when I had to move away from the area for work and Tranmere fans still talk fondly about it. Worth a try unless it is forbidden by some half-hidden League rule.

Probably stopped as Liverpool, Everton rarely KO on a Sat at 3 pm anymore, in the old days it was every Sat when 1 would be at home.

Stockport County were another club who used to play home games on a Friday night back in the day to avoid clashing with City and United home games.

Back to our home attendances last season. I think we picked up a few more home fans when it was international breaks and there was no Premier games being played.

Novelty wears off quickly. The pattern of attendances this season suggests that people were coming regularly, enjoying the matches and, unlike some, weren't put off by seeing their team lose.

if you look at the home match reports on the official site you can make a list as the total attendance and away attendance are at the bottom of each report.

Im not just talking about last season. Last year we had a bounce from the year before not being able to watch league football due to the pandemic, and tbh some of the football we were served up was awful at best so we did well to get the crowds we did. Coupled with the club trying its hardest to alienate some kids which doesnt help

If we have a team fighting for the top 10 id imagine we wud be close to 3800-4000 every home game
agree

I think a lot of clubs are in for a shock next year with the cost of living sky rocketing. I think ifollow will be the real winner

Hooky iFollow via a vpn or whatnot will be the winner. You still won’t be able to watch a Saturday 3pm kick off on proper iFollow.

Utter crap, just look at the amount of holiday bookings that are surging this summer, when we’re in this “crisis”. Chrome App VPN, I also tried this for away games and IFollow still picks it up and disconnects you. Only decent way would be to subscribe to a decent VPN or another subscription service, personally would rather support my local club

I’m not arsed personally I can afford it but some people on lower wages won’t be able to especially with family’s. There’s not holiday surges either there is just a lack of staff. The country is on its arse but you can’t probably see it you bad Tory
