There was no suggestion that I had to go for him but I had actually seen him play against my son a few years ago back in his Academy days at Derby County and he’d caught my eye. I think there was lots of noise about his agent saying bradford city were in for him , so the board made a decision to sign him when no manager was in post. Then Bradford city came out in the press stating they never wanted him. A sporting director should help with making footballing decisions leaving directors and chairman to look after the off field stuff

It didn't work out for him for what ever reason obviously something wasn't quite right but I hope he goes on to have some success.

Well spotted, then Zanzala has “Gods will not mine” as his header, which part of Gods will was that? At least now he’s gone that’s a huge wage cleared up. Think Zanzala was decent at the start of the season, then poor in the winter, thought I heard an interview with Chris Beech when he was at Carlisle with Zanzala and he mentioned some players play great when it’s warm and sunny, but fail in the winter months and needed additional verbal encouragement.

I.ve seen Zanzala play at three different clubs [ Accy Carlisle and Barrow ] and you can see exactly the same story unfold at each club over roughly the same timescale.

But it looks as if some other club think they can break that sequence [ don't think he would have agreed to tear up his contract if he didn't have somewhere else to go ] and an Exeter supporting mate of mines comment this evening was " God I pray that it's not us "

The difference with his time at Carlisle was after signing in Jan 21 Carlisle offered him a longer contract at the end of six months. He turned the contract down and signed for Barrow who wanted rid of him after 6 months.

Yes. They are saying that Bolton are going to sign the keeper Trafford on loan which would let Dixon go back to Barrow

that would make sense - with the extra subs allowed in a game we would need a proper 2nd keeper and i doubt lillis will be doing anything more than coaching.

Not Quite

Beech may have wanted to sign him But it seems no one else did. The fans were at best lukewarm, Wasnt that popular in the dressing room and the club were so keen they offered him a contract best described as derisory.

At Accy in 6 months he went from being the next Billy Kee to someone the fans just used to laugh at in the end.

And then of course at Barrow things followed a very similar story over a similar timeframe.
