Stockpot have signed 3 players from last season's NL and one from last season's NLN. Suggests coaches believe that the right Non-League players will be good enough for L2 i.e. this isn't akin to signing a plasterer from the Dog and Duck XI.
the NLN one is Akil Wright - who we had on loan from Fleetwood a good few years ago.
Banks is a good player when all is going well but I’m not sure he likes getting stuck in when it’s coming on top. I also think when it goes through him we tended to slow up. If he gets tougher on the tackling side and get us underway quicker then he would be very good in a in front of a back three / pivot role. Yes it is as opposed to the usual sound bites . I genuinely think the older the player and the more appearances in the FL makes some players go through the motions and do just enough to get another contract. They have probably been scouted at an early age and fatigue of the game has probably worn them down.
