Before heading to Holker Street I'd just splashed out £185 for one hour with my therapist, trying to find techniques to help me get over the crushing and demoralising effects of being robbed in the last minute at Sutton. I should have saved my money and grabbed a word with Pete Wild instead.

That was hugely impressive, really high-end stuff. I shouldn't pick out individuals when all played so well but Gordon's ceaseless running, sprinting and chasing is really something to behold. Gordon the big engine wasn't solely confined to the books of Reverend Awdry.

The performance was really soul-nurturing to watch - - - mind you, I'm hoping to come off my ventilator this morning as I'm still in shock and trying to catch my breath after that last kick off the match whistled just wide of our post.

I was behind the same goal and heard it clear as day. Yep. There’s a group coming through at the minute that seem trying to recreate themselves as the TMF. Whilst many of the kids are harmless and the singing is great. It’s that minority in the groups who think they are something and spend the entire game goading away fans. They probably couldn’t even tell you have of what happens in a game

Completely agree. Use it as a learning exercise Adam and move on doing your brilliant work in the commentary box and with your after-match interviews.

Adam is firstly a Barrow supporter and a part time RC Broadcaster.
He his entitled to his views as a supporter.
It must be very hard being both .
In all honesty he should be at a bigger Radio Station than Radio sheep dip so we are lucky to have him and we are given alot more inside information than someone just doing a job.

Comment on their forum about the pitch being bobbly

Watched the game with a lad who comes a few times a season; first thing he commented on was how fantastic the pitch looks. Credit to Gareth and his team. Funny how pitches are only ever “bobbly” when teams lose….

Pete Wild warned us there would be bumps in the road. But let's hope there are bobbles on the pitch for all our opponents.

Agree with most of what's been said here, but for me, that was the most significant performance and result I've witnessed since our return to the EFL. League 2 is a hard, unforgiving league in which industry, organisation and ruthlessness dominate. In two and a bit seasons, I've watched our team play some nice football, and win some key games but until last night I always felt that we didn't really "get" the L2 mentality, as nice performances were often overshadowed by naivity. Too often in the last two seasons we allowed ourselves to be bullied, and falling for sucker punches had become a bad habit. The sucker punch tendency has spilled over into this season too, but last night's final whistle, was, for me, a "THAT is how you do League Two" moment. Walsall were a physical, organised unit who had travelled up here to do a typical Tuesday night job on us, but our lads stood up to, and surpassed them in all departments, including work rate, physicality....and most of all, discipline. They even found time to play a few little spells of great football too. All over the park, I saw players put in a 95 minute shift, peppered with key moments and little personal battles but most significant for me was Josh Kay, a player of undeniable talent, who last night, in the face of some pretty rough treatment and provocation, "looked after himself " in impressive fashion, whilst keeping his discipline and focus....something he hasn't always done in the past.
When Walsall pulled it back to 2-1 in the first minute of the restart, I, like many, was dreading the next 44 minutes, but the capitulation didn't happen. We simply did not allow them back into the game. Very impressive.

agree with what you say Pedro, but it gets under peoples skin that we put a performance in like we did last nite yet it seems 'some' people are desperate to paint the club and its supporters in a bad light as much as they can, when it just isnt the case. they seem to thrive on it. noticed i said some people, coz its always the same people on here over and over again. maybe we should have a separate thread called 'crowd watch' where those intent of just talking about the crowd can vent their often lies, can talk about kids all they want on that thread if thats what makes them tick

Yes. I am a fan of Kay. He has pace and an element of unpredictability which is a great asset and he has buckled down to harness it in the right way.

I was out last night and keeping up on Flashscore. Based on many previous experiences, I feared the worst. Another sign of how things have improved.

I must admit I wasn't happy we had given Kay a new contract, because last season he was a liability. However, someone has had a word and there is a footballer in there and he is beginning to flourish.

the police told the lad who was accused of it when they dropped ALL the charges. sorry yes i was mistaken, strange how people say they misheard when they realise they pretty much look like a liar anyway isnt it?? bit like the Chesterfield keeper the other year
