Ian, has any thought been given to a mural….maybe not.
It really wouldn’t surprise me Dave.

Perhaps one on the HSE roof that can be seen by any passing 747 at twenty thousand feet.

Thanks for doing all the work guys and gals, we all appreciate the effort you all put in for the benefit of the club and fans.

Do you know if there are any plans to remove/alter the plastic segregation sheet between home and away fans in he HSE? If we went to an away ground and had that view of the goal we wouldn’t be happy would we?

I’m just thinking about the overall impression we are leaving on away fans as an EFL club.

No idea about the Perspex mate, but I can’t see it being removed anytime soon, they had to put netting above it last season because we, & other clubs have idiots that think it’s ok to throw bottles and coins at each other.

A few from today and last week.

The boiler room getting a little make-over. This is where the kits are also washed and it was totally unsuitable for that purpose. New lighting, electrics fixed and upgraded and a worktop all fitted. Not the finished job but much better.

New lighting being fit either side of the gate into the fanzone, these are fitted with sensors so will automatically come on each night.
Depending on cost we might be able to replace the six broken ones along the X Bar path.

Various steps had the yellow paint re-freshed.

The ground was once again completely litter picked with recyclable items separated.

A before and after of the fence that will be replacing the plastic barriers and rope. There is rope holding this first panel in place but the panel will be securely attached to the H bar column before the next home game.

The fence panel being cut down to the size of the template we made so it would fit nicely between the two columns and then welded back together.

As is the norm….jobs started and finished and more appear!
A big one in the away fans area, the reception car park gate and another job in one of the food huts.

A really good turn-out today with about 15 popping down to help out….a new volunteer as well!!

As usual Elaine looked after us all with teas and coffees through the morning and Marion once again supplied all the sandwiches and sausage rolls.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

I ageee. Would be much better if we just had a bit of netting.

Unfortunately netting doesn't stop coins or smaller objects being thrown into the areas.

A few “before’s & afters” of the refreshment hut on the west terrace.
Originally there was a bit of a crazy selection of odd sized tables, we’ve replaced these with some new kitchen worktops which run the full length and wrap around the ends of the hut.
The electrical sockets were few and far between so we’ve now added extra sockets and trunking, doing away with all the extension cables.

A few more of the interior of the west terrace food hut.
