Barrow v Grimsby match thread
Re: Barrow v Grimsby match thread
Going off the stats alone it seems we haven't got going since half time.
Popular side since '03.

Re: Barrow v Grimsby match thread
We are the best team but I would be much happier if we had a second goal. Their fans aren’t happy on their forum, think we are better, but accusing us of play-acting! Bit rich …

Waters MotM. Can't argue with that (despite his miss in the first half)
Don't let the old man in.

Re: Barrow v Grimsby match thread
My hooky iFollow feed only had Grimsby commentary and they were lamenting their ability to get going, their first defeat in 5, first defeat this month. We stifled them, as we do with most teams, we are so difficult for the opposition to play through the lines. The out of possession model that PW talks about is highly impressive. We should’ve been 3 to the good at HT. Not many will get points from Fortress Holker Street this season.
I can’t believe I was keen for Phil Brown to be given a chance!

Fully deserved, back up to 8th. Could have had more, against a team who have a good away record. Looked more like we did 5-6 weeks ago.

Very pleased with that. Tough team to beat. Should never have doubted Billy Waters.. Our performances are gradually improving. Looking forward to Saturday for the first time in a while.

Tidy finish from Billy Waters, difficult to keep it down and guide it in to the corner like that. Hope the flood gets open now for him.

Brilliant game and result, waters is some signing section closed off behind the goals wasn’t as bad as I thought and the atmosphere was still great. Reading the program notes about the club under investigation by the FA, seems like the sensible approach has been taken.

Re: Barrow v Grimsby match thread
I think I heard Adam say something like 3,300, with around 420-430 away fans. Apparently it is our lowest home support for a league match this season. I hope it isn’t a downward trend, but it will be lower because of the repercussions following the firework incident. I hope we can move on from that, with fans who are able to attend supporting their team rather than boycotting it.
