Horrible, horrible team but if we were to lose all 3 games against them this season and still finish above them, then IMO, we’ll be at least in the playoffs.

The only headache wild should have now is which two to play in the midfield out of white, neal and foley

Our best team otherwise is obvious

Who would play up top out of Waters Gordon Bennett Moyo? Two out wide of Kay and Whitfield, two centre mids out of White, Foley, Neal, Gotts,? Ray or McClelland? Canavan Warren Brough pick themselves. Hardly our best team is obvious to me.

But not a bad squad of players now.

Tom White is not as good as foley or neal, yes works hard but you need more than that!

So why does our Manager pick him, maybe Wild likes his hard work.

Different types of midfielders imo. Tom White does the ratting in midfield and keeps it simple where as Foley and Neal can play defence splitting passes and have the ability to notch a goal or two. On current form difficult to drop White ATM

I couldn`t care less if White is better than Foley or Neal, ask the man who picks the team.

Doesn't matter who's better. You can't play the same 2 in midfield every single game. You need to rotate players. Especially when one of them is 36.

Back to football Mayo for a big player is weak and would be lucky to play a none league club.
Strongly disagree. Pete wild singled him out as his MOM against Colchester. Links play up keeps centre half’s occupied and wins his fare share of tackles in the opposition half. A prolific scorer he is not but will create the space for others to score. It took until the second half for Mansfield to get a grip of him yesterday but that may have been due to Moyo feeling the effects of both the pitch and two games in 4 days
Agree. Moyo did ok. No surprise he was picked against Mansfield after the way they snuffed out our little attack in the League game. Yesterday we missed a likely not-100% Whitfield for much of the game and Waters & Gordon were unable to make use of the space created by Moyo. Like those three, Kay also had opportunities and if we don't take our chances we don't score. No score, no win.

Good cameo from Nwaboukei - showing promise. Starting to see why Wild was so keen to get him in the squad.

Liked Wild's use of 'skullduggery' in his radio interview in respect of Mansfield's 'game management'. Horrible but effective side.

Gotts doesn’t play centre mid he plays the number 10 role.

Agree that they are our best 3 in midfield if we play that way. It's complicated - not always a straightforward 433 every game. Has even been 4-1-4-1 at times. Think it depends who we are playing, and the state of the game. Have to say I prefer a back 4 to playing with wing backs. Don't propose know enough about the detail to say more than that.
I will make this point - at the beginning of the season PW said he wants two players for each position. I think we've achieved that, and everyone who has come in has largely done a decent job. Hats off again to all the staff.
