Lack of consistency yet again (as with most things referee related). The Swindon game was played with the pitch in far worse condition and the officials gave it every chance up to the last minute. If you're going to leave it until 12:30 why not wait until 2pm? Everyone's already at the ground/on the way and close anyway.

Practically needed wellies all around ormsgille playing fields, at around kick off time, and the troubled side of the pitch looked like it had covers on that half on FB yesterday, joke of a decision, hope the club try and get some compensation.

Doubt that will happen. The EFL will close ranks and support the ref no doubt.

Ref is from Leeds area. Did he not like the look of the roads coming here and thought sod that I want to get home and not struggle at 6pm tonight. Absolute joke

What reason did the ref give? TOSSER

I’d wager he awoke to icy conditions & assumed Furness would be similar so chatting to wifie saying this will be off so I will be home by 3 not realising we are surrounded by salty sea air & the conditions were fine, We probably lost a lot of money as hotels for squad & staff, evening meals & breakfast for the group then factor in the match days & corporate catering & now extra expenses for the rearranged game….

Probably not deliberate by Salford to discredit the club's claim that the pitch was ok, but careless use of a stock image in this case.
