Under 16s should be free and the under 15 attending with an adult should be scrapped it’s a disgrace. Loosing a generation of young supporters.

I am a season ticket holder as is my son,he wanted his mate to go the other week so I went to buy a ticket online but you can’t buy a ticket online for a junior as they need to be accompanied since the banning of under 15 year olds,even though they would have been accompanied so Mike your days of buying junior tickets online is very commendable but not now possible online as that option has been closed online

The increase in attendances from, say 2017 when I started occasionally attending, have been impressive. I just wonder what all these folk were spending their time on at the weekends prior to promotion to the league? Were they supporting another team in the area or further South? Or just not bothering attending local football matches until the standard was good enough for them?

There’s some that had the mentality of watching “non league” football was beneath them so didn’t attend because of that

My brother-in-law supported Barrow AFC from 1965 when he was 10 till until we were ejected from the League, he supports Spurs (well I mean he has a shirt), about ten years ago I asked him why he doesn't go to Holker Street, his reply was I don't support a non-league team.
I replied that it is when you are non-league that's when the club needs you, Spurs don't need you to buy a shirt every year!
However he still watches Spurs on SKY

The club lost 100’s of regular fans when we were booted of the league at a time when the old First division was enjoying an upturn and you could wake up on Saturday and without needing advance tickets take a train to go and stand on the Kop or the Stratford End. More of a draw than Mossley at home.

The early years out of the league must have been truly awful for the faithful. I’ve seen the early non league tables and we finished second bottom, third bottom, third bottom for the first few seasons in Non League. The club must have been close to wrapping it. I don’t blame fans for calling it a day and we lost a generation of fans. That’s why it’s crucial that the club gets a resolution with the younger fans who have been banned from attending unaccompanied or else we will lose those as well. Football fortunes can soon turn.

Indeed they were awful but, its credit to those that refused to throw the towel in that the club is still here today and where we are now.

Totally agree. To sanction the innocent is a disgrace - they prosecuted the lad who threw the firework so why take it out on others?
I haven't attended any home games since the ban such is my view on the subject in relation to my own ethics & values. I have taught young people in the past and also been involved in Youth Work. For me to attend home games whilst this ban is in place would be highly hypocritical of me.

And you're correct, Jon. The club is alienating a section of supporters who may never return even when/if this insidious ban is lifted.

Have they prosecuted someone? I am aware somebody was arrested but I have not read any report regarding someone being prosecuted and subsequently banned from football grounds by any court.

No; I'm not having a laugh. One young person threw the firework. Why ban all under 15s who have done no wrong?
You're suggesting ALL under 15s who used to attend unaccompanied were looking for trouble? Really? Are you having a laugh?

Attendances do not appear to have suffered at home much since the ban so may work the other way people coming to watch because trouble at ground being acted on.Be interesting to know if younger fans who travel on away coaches have reduced since ban came into force.

Attendances have dipped since the ban. There were attendances of below 3,000 at the Mansfield and Swindon fixtures. I also believe the attendance at the Northampton game was below 3,000. It could be argued that the dip in attendances is related to our poor home form. Debatable.

We're doing relatively okay in the EFL. However, as Jonty mentioned - earlier in this thread - footballing fortunes can soon change. I believe the ban will have long term consequences for the club if our younger fans continue to be alienated.
