Regardless of tonight’s awful result, mid-table mediocrity would be vast improvement. I’d take that any day.

We competed well first half, but the mistake by Ray (who was an accident waiting to happen from the start with clumsy challenges from the first 5 minutes) changed the game. We need a more mobile and reliable centre half and someone to replace Warren. He has the odd good game, but opponents know he is a weak link.
On the plus side, I would have Waters in the side because he uses the ball well. Also Whitfield and White. The www is the way to go!

Pete's been too loyal to certain player's he's now got to get tough and get McClelland and feely back even if there not quite there sometimes you got to get on with it ,too many player's treated like race horses these day's!

Fed up with this over the top Cumbria commentary.

The commentary was split. Adam and Goody on AM and DAB+ and Phillips on FM. Not sure if it was possible to have a choice on iFollow, it usually is, but I watched with commentary from Adam and Goody.

A poor second half performance when we were still in the game at HT. Totally lacked aggression and heads dropped far too easily. We are far too slow across our defensive third and where’s the tackling gone, stop pointing and get your foot in! But credit to Carlisle- they are where they are for a reason.

That second half - we folded just like we did against Stevenage.

I’d feel a lot worse if we were i the bottom 5- so trying to keep this drubbing in perspective.

Doesn't matter who comes in there's something not quite right ,Canavan needs to show leadership, on Saturday he showed none he needs to lead by example, as for Waters WHY doesn't he get a chance to play in the middle? He's just bot a winger or midfield player!

Highlighted the total lack of a defender on the bench. We have six defenders sat in the stand or at home.McClelland working his way back from injury,Feeley getting up to scratch after the gap from the Irish season, We also have Ellis and Grayson back from loan. Who knows what has happened to Zuk and Kenlock. Any defensive changes will now have to come from that batch as the window is almost shut.Keep the faith.

There's a half decent replacement who's just become a free agent. Can cover centre back at a push as well. Rumour has it he'll fight tooth and nail for the shirt even if the going gets tough.
Even Mark Ellis. He was also slow and not great on the ball but at least he put a shift in and sticks his head on anything.
Could understand trying to change things up with the line up, but didn't understand Bennett starting on his showing so far this season when he has featured. His height doesn't mean a lot of he doesn't put himself about and hold the ball up, and even then there's rarely anyone playing off him anyway. I'd still like to see us try 2 up top, whether that be with a back 5 or 4-4-2. Something needs to change and if we can't defend we need to score more.

Was Stevens injured tonight? I thought he'd done ok lately and contributed a couple of goals. Him, Kay and Whitfield will at least run at defences.

I don’t understand Lumsden keeps saying Wild set up not to lose. It looked a reasonably attacking line up to me. A more defensive set up would surely have White and possibly 5 in midfield with Bennet alone up front?

Im all ears for this. We have the personnel for a 442 and leave Warren and Brough in our own half, we saw tonight the gaps we left pushing to far forward. Totally exposed. At least with a 442 we might get some decent service in to Bennett.

I know I don’t watch it cos I might throw ipad at the wall!Manager needs to apologise for performance second half.Need to get rid of warren not physical enough and I think team selection wrong.Bennet also seems a waste of space.Team not mentally strong enough.

Credit to Pete Wild he has apologised on radio for the performance second half. said not acceptable and that fans justified in giving team verbal grief.
