The NL window closes tomorrow. Speaking to my SIL only last night and as mentioned elsewhere he was expecting a big-money splash on Alfie May from Cheltenham so this will come as a surprise. Fully expect Benni to return from Guiseley and at least make the bench for the rest of the season.

Bit of a leap. Wrexham wanted to pay over the odds for a player that isn’t that great, plus our season is all but over anyway. Surely there’s nothing more to it than that?

As previously mentioned too many conspiracies floating about. Majority of clubs in the country offering season tickets for next year already and Wrexham in the midst of cat and mouse chase at the top of the conference (and still have to play notts) probably the same situation when we bolstered the squad signing Jamie soule and Dan jones in the promotion year under evatt.

I Liked waters and fair play to him. Maybe not the most natural of finishers but always seemed to be causing problems. Approaching 30 now and probably hasn’t got many big moves left in him. Hard to turn down Wrexham at the minute and even harder to turn down the money probably offered to him. The club have probably realised that we ain’t going up and we ain’t going down so nows a good opportunity to cash in

Benni’s deal at Guiseley been extended till the end of the season. Another move that makes sense, keep him playing regularly

My thoughts exactly. Short of money so get the season tickets on sale early and cash in on a few assets. Need the ground upgrades or we end up in non league.

Yes, but we don’t have many options off the bench with Bennet gone on loan/ BSB on loan. He could put him in the side now and see what he can do in the last games of the season and would help in Wild’s plans for next season.
Let’s be honest we’ve struggled in front of goal in most games and can’t go unnoticed that we are amongst the lowest goal scorers in the league.

So only 18 to fill 17 positions.

Remember the good old days when we had 1 substitute and not too long ago 3? I hate it when we change 5 players in a game and it rarely improves the football IMHO

As others have said makes good business sense, manager already has next season in mind as clearly do some of the players. Billy played his part for us in fits and starts anyway It’s all Waters under the bridge now.

Bit of a shock that,but I suppose it makes good business sense.Pete Wild did say his plan was to improve the club and the players and where the club could get money in for a player he would move them on and as Billy's form has gone a bit awry in front of goal I don't blame Pete and the club for letting him go while they can get a decent fee for.him.I would just like to thank.Billy for his earlier season form which moved us well out of the danger zone this season and helped keep us in this league.It will be interesting to see who if anyone is brought in to replace him next season.

Helps the teams with stronger squads who can bring more quality on.

To answer the above first Moloney and Taylor were not likely to be considered anyway apart, obviously, in an injury crisis. Newby I've no idea how long he is out.

But yes it is a bit of a surprise but I'm in the camp that Waters was a bit of a frustrating sort of striker always wanted him to do well, obviously, but I'd always pick Gordon or Kay in front of him. Plus we need a very different type of forward up there next season a bigger more aggressive type player and you never know Garner may get his act together.

But its to good an opportunity for Waters to miss. A last big pay day for a very honest player and, more importantly, a bit of money for us. The rest of our forwards should see this as an opportunity to impress before hitting Majorca, Malaga etc....

As for BSB he's doing well but playing 3 levels below L2 standard so its good he is developing his game there. Remember McClelland is also 3 levels below where he wants to end up and you can see his development this season he will probably be on loan at a championship club next season. Lastly, on the BSB issue Guisleys season ends on the 22 April so if they don't reach the play off (they are mid table) then he may get an opportunity in the last two league games of out season for us & then play a starring role for us in our play offs!!!!!
