This thread probably should have been locked after Pete Wilds comments on Page 3.

Whilst Waters has moved on and is no longer an issue for us however the sad fact that we can be “robbed” if that’s the right word of a regular first team squad member this late in a season in which we are still not entirely excluded from the play-offs and is indeed sad.

That the team concerned are a division below and don’t even need Waters and may not need him much next season either, to the point where they simply play him, fit and healthy, in their reserves side makes a mockery of the game on a number of levels.

I’d like to think that at some point, at some future stage, this type of thing is going to bite somebody in the backside but that might be wishful thinking for now. We may however have to brace ourselves for more of this mindless asst stripping behaviour in the weeks and months to come.
