This week Matt sounded a bit subdued and only really wanted to talk about the pubs etc outside Leyton Orient's ground rather than the football,which when you look at how Carlisle performed is hardly surprising.
I thought it was quite funny how Freya said she kept watching Robbie Gotts 94th minute goal and hadn,t even seen Josh Gordon's shot which resulted in an own goal by the Gillingham goalkeeper.
I liked Freya's replies when asked about Barrow's chances of the play-offs.She like most of us thinks that we should take one game at a time and see where we end up.We don,t expect to be in them,so our team cam play with more freedom and every win is a bonus.When it came to putting things in the bin,I thought moaning Carlisle fans who always moan about their allocation at Barrow was a good shout.She did offer an olive branch though saying if they were still in this division next season,their allocation would be going up to 900.
Another good entertaining listen though and hopefully more people will add their comments of what they thought of it.

Can't blame Matt for wanting to talk beer instead of football after losing a 6-pointer to a bizarre own-goal (John Mellish will be having nightmares as he also missed an open goal in the last few minutes). Hopefully he'll be back to football chat next time.

I'd rather that allocation of 900 was for a league 1 game - no objections whatsoever to the idea of Barrow joining us in the third tier

The allocation is what it is, it's just frustrating to many of our regular away fans that they miss out on games like Barrow, Hartlepool, and Harrogate which are all 'local' (relatively speaking). We could easily bring 2-3k to Holker Street, even if we were struggling - not sure Cumbria Police would like it though.

Good luck for the rest of the season, but don't forget to have an off day when we come to the Furness Peninsula.

Going off social media people don't realise that a smaller allocation is a frustration for us as well, realistically we are losing the potential income of another one or two thousand away fans. These are the problems that 48 years of little investment give you, we were never in a position to upgrade our ground before we reached the League unlike many teams that have come up in the last decade or so, Fleetwood, Forest Green to name two.

Totally understand that. For all the 'banter' between CUFC and Barrow, I'd far rather see a proper club doing well than the likes of Fleetwood or Forest Green.

Having listened to the latest podcast I have to agree that if we miss out if the play-offs by one point,dodgy referee decisions come to mind( the first time we played Sutton at their place)and where we concede right at the death as in the Newport game.I have to agree with Freya though about Tyrel Warren,sometimes he can be a liability giving away free kicks too easily and would be better coming off the bench.This is not to say he is not improving,which he is,he just seems to go into rash challenges as on Monday,so with the Swindon game coming up I wouldn't have him in the starting line up.Have to also agree to have Newby,a local lad in the side is a good thing as it shows up and coming footballers what you can achieve if you are good enough and gives them something to aim for.Another good listen.

It’s the final podcast next week and I have to say I’ve really enjoyed them. The banter between Freya, Matt and Paul is good. Hopefully it is something they will look to continue next season
