Just what we needed, big gaps below us so hard to see us finishing any lower than 10th, which is brilliant. Shame Wimbledon are so flakey, allowing Salford to win from 2-1 down (although they also allowed us to come back from 1-0 down). I have a friend who is a Wimbledon fan - he can’t believe how often they have thrown away leads.

Good performance today, could have had more. Generally feels like we can make strong substitutions, got a bit of depth, even with some players having off days sometimes.

Fantastic performance by the Bluebirds today against Crawley.Glad to see the team banish the memory of Friday's game.We need more of the same against Swindon on Saturday please and who knows where we may end up.Onwards and upwards.

Apart from a shaky first 5 minutes, thought we played some decent football, Tom White gotts and neal played some neat triangles, Newby played well as did feely, McClelland and Canavan, Gordon put in a brilliant shift ,credit to the Crawley fans coming all this way to see their side totally outplayed and be brutally honest out of their depth!, would like to see the same 11 on Saturday but who knows?!, well done lad's.

Agree I would try to do everything to keep these two even if it means breaking our transfer record!

Can see there being a big clear out at chelsea in the summer given the money they’ve spent. And with sheff United going up I think we would stand a good chance of getting neal

FORZA BLUEBIRDS, Great result today, keeps it interesting for the remainder of the season just a pity we didn’t get anything from the Harrogate and Crewe games.
Swindon next week, a win there and l can carry on dreaming.

Easter Monday saw Barrow re-strengthen 9th position with an emphatic 4-0 win over Crawley, including a Josh Gordon hat-trick, which takes us to 61 points.

Within 7 minutes, Newby put in a testing cross from the right which Gotts could not quite reach, a relieved goalie Addai gathering.

Two minutes later, Crawley’s Fellows was fouled, Powell’s free kick being deflected for a corner which was cleared.

However, we were soon in total control and, in the 18th minute, an excellent build-up from Canavan through to White, Neal, Gotts and Newby saw the latter put in a superb cross from the right for Josh Gordon at the far post to blast into the net.

A 22nd minute Feely throw in then gave White a shot which was blocked in the area. Two minutes later, another Feely throw enabled another Gordon shot from the far post, blasted past Addai into Crawley’s goal but disallowed for a handball for which Garner was booked.

Five minutes later, Gordon won a corner and Garner’s kick resulted in a Feely shot on goal which was blocked, and Newby was fouled. Garner’s free kick was deflected just wide of the right post for a corner.

In added time at the end of the half, Crawley replaced Chukwuemeka with Telford and a half time made a further change, Oteh coming on for Roles.

With just the slender 1-0 lead at the break, it took less than two minutes from the restart for Barrow to double the lead. Poor defending allowed Gordon to head in, after Neal headed on a Feely throw, for 2-0.

In the 54th minute, Gotts played an excellent cross into the area, Johnson fouling Garner for a booking and penalty. Gordon’s hat-trick earning penalty was blasted straight down the middle for 3-0.

Three minutes later, Crawley were on a rare attack and Brough was booked for bringing down Mason after he was beaten to the ball. The free kick was cleared and, on the hour, Crawley made a couple more changes, Tilley and Grant coming on for Fellows and Khaleel.

With four fresh Crawley players now on the pitch, the 65th minute saw Whitfield and Young come on for Newby and Gordon. Man of the Match Gordon would come back on the pitch with the match ball at the end! Five minutes later, Whitfield shot wide from distance from Farman’s quick release, trying to catch Addai out.

Brough and Neal then made way for Warren and Foley.

In the 81st minute, Crawley replaced Powell with Sprong. Seconds later, Young went on a good run and unleased a fierce shot that Addai could only parry. The rebound was headed by Garner over the stranded goalie into the open net for 4-0.

The goal was Jake Young’s last action of the game as he was then replaced by Josh Kay.

In the 87th minute, frustration got the better of Oteh who was booked.

Six minutes of added time saw Barrow still trying to go for another goal, Whitfield winning a free kick right at the end when he was fouled.

Attendance was 3,335 including 87 visiting fans. The team and manager received an ovation for a full team effort for the whole game and the comprehensive victory.

Very easy win. Crawley showed little effort for a team needing points to avoid relegation. Very poor team but so were Crewe as illustrated by their result at Colchester.

Much better team selection today. A huge improvement defensively with McClelland and Feely in the team. All of the midfield 4 also excellent today as well.

Oy oy oy! Barrow gave Crawley a proper battering, mate! The lads from Holker Street put four past 'em, and the visitors from Crawley went home with their tails between their legs.

It all started in the first half, when Josh Gordon put one in the back of the net. That gave Barrow the lead, and they held onto it until halftime.

But that was just the start of the fun, innit? In the second half, Barrow really turned on the style. Josh Gordon was on fire, and he scored two more goals to complete his hat trick. And get this, one of 'em was from the penalty spot! Can you Adam and Eve it?

And as if that wasn't enough, Garner got in on the action too. He nodded in a header after a blocked shot from Young. Lovely jubbly!

The crowd at Holker Street was buzzing, with over 3,000 punters in attendance. And you know what? There were 87 Crawley fans there too, poor sods.

In the end, Barrow were well chuffed with their 4-0 win. It was a proper top-notch performance, and the fans went home happy as Larry. That's what football's all about, innit?

I thought I went to the match today and we breezed through easily against very weak opposition.

But it was just my imagination running away with me . . . it must have been as I've just spotted a match stat that said Crawley had 60% possession . . . not the match that I was at . . . don't know where I was this afternoon then . . .
