If we have, don’t see any benefit in it personally. People obsessed with increasing capacity, why? More seats I get, the rest is not required.

Re: Expansion
I heard from a good sauce that we are also trying to buy the old pond adjacent to the garage. Officials from the Save Grange Lido committee are acting as consultants during the proposals phase.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

Re: Expansion
The away allocation in the ground can be altered to meet away ticket demand.
Up to 500- new east stand away seating. no away access to HSE.
When there is a larger following-
500-612- new east stand plus HS seats
612-950 above plus the standing.
Disclaimer- or so I heard

Re: Expansion
I think you should maybe expand on this rumour some more as it could indeed be a a springboard to greater things and could yet grow water wings unless someone pulls the plug on it that is.Wintergreen wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 6:33 pm I heard from a good sauce that we are also trying to buy the old pond adjacent to the garage. Mark, I think you've misconstrued Wintergreen's meaning when he said we're trying to buy the old pond adjacent to the garage. Apparently it's Nathan . . . he was stood talking just next to the garage before Saturday's match and was overheard saying he was seeing Wild after the game. Could this be the beginning of next season's recruitment drive? A bit deflating if it's true. "Old" doesn't even begin to touch the sides. Vastly experienced though.McMark wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 6:40 pmI think you should maybe expand on this rumour some more as it could indeed be a a springboard to greater things and could yet grow water wings unless someone pulls the plug on it that is.Wintergreen wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 6:33 pm I heard from a good sauce that we are also trying to buy the old pond adjacent to the garage.
By the way, Wintergreen's "good sauce" is HP, which could stand for Highly Probable or Hugely Preposterous. Take your pick.

Re: Expansion
Cor blimey, these proposals sound right up me alley! 500 covered seats in the East Terrace with a brand new bar area and bogs for our away fans, sounds like a proper treat! And what's that? The old West Terrace being turned into a covered stand for around 350 seats for us home fans to go wild in? I'm chuffed to bits!
Now, the Steelworks End may be uncovered and look a bit bottle and glass, but with 200 seats in two rows, it's still a right good addition to the ground. And with all these changes, we'll be back to having a four sided ground for a proper good atmosphere!
And the former Bluebird club on Holker Street is up for grabs? Blimey, the possibilities are endless! The club might buy it to improve the ground even more or reopen it as one of them strip clubs like in the old days. Imagine one of them page three stunners popping out of a Bluey costume! Sounds like a right laugh to me!
Overall, I'm absolutely over the moon with these proposals, and I can't wait to see the ground all spruced up and ready for action!

Re: Expansion
Now hearing that Roger Mcskim is considering converting it to one of those new trendy Poets clubs and a takeaway to supplement his plastering business that will be available on the Just Keats app. That will truly be bringing back a Byron era.
Wonder who will be the first to get bard.
Re: Expansion
Maybe to have a stadium worthy of league football or 2023? Whos obsessed, it was a genuine question. You cant see any benefit to owning a property linked to our ground?Desmond2-2 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 6:17 pmIf we have, don’t see any benefit in it personally. Re: Expansion
Maybe to keep creating a better environment and match day experience for all Barrow fans? That adds to increasing crowd and getting more revenue into the club.Desmond2-2 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 6:17 pmIf we have, don’t see any benefit in it personally. For example buying that garage you could build a little bar under there with the food. How much extra £ would that bring in over a season. I certainly know a lot of folk who don’t bother due to the queues in the main area for home fans.
This all then increases money available for on the pitch.
But no… no benefit as it doesn’t suit you?
