I have heard that a firm from the East end of London have invested in Carlisle .
Paul Simpsons is bound to be worried as I believe he has been told if he does not get them promoted they will send a tailor to fit him with a concrete jacket.
Not sure what colour.
He is a good coach but he reminds you.of the kid at school who was a snitch.
He does not sound like a marra having been born there.
Egremont have awarded him the gurning championship for his services to moaning.
Just to enlighten you a 'Marra' is 'West Cumbrian', and the last time I looked at a map, Carlisle is in the 'North' NOT the 'West'. He was brought up in the 'Morton' area of the City, so he's definitely not a 'Marra'.
And as far as 'moaning' is concerned, then maybe you should look a little closer to home, Wild was almost bawling his eyes out at that defeat, 'there was only one team in it'.......yea right, a shame that we walked off with the three points then, whinge, whinge bloody whinge.
BTW, Wild was booked, Simmo wasn't.
It's like the corresponding game at Brunton Park, 'Mellish was 2 yards offside', what a load of absolute [SwearFilter], if you look at it closely, he may or may not have been offside, however even 'VAR' would have had trouble sorting that one out, 2 yards my arse!!!!!!!!!!!.
Do yourselves a favour get rid of that whinging git and you may have a chance of going a bit further next season.
We may see you next season we may not, hopefully we wont, however if we do, I sincerely hope you have a decent manager with at least a bit of grace and honour.
I complained about PW not accepting defeat gracefully .
I do hope we play Carlisle next season as for a marra i know where they are from let us know when Simpson wins the gurning competition

Fans and manager alike, the bitterness from Carlisle is on another level. You won, get over it.

It’s incredible how much Wild and Barrow have riled a club that “aren’t bothered about Barrow”
Give me Pete Wild any day of the week over Paul Simpson making up fairytales about Paul Hornby Ravanelli’ing round the directors box at Grimsby when Stockport scored

Agreed. Managers can have vastly differing opinions, but peddling untruths is poor form.

He also said that Barrow had saved all their best players for the Carlisle game when in fact we only made 2 from the Grimsby game. Carlisle made two changes from their last game too. He was well rattled after the game. No doubting we had got under his skin link below

First referenced on page 6 of this very thread by a Carlisle supporter. So no, 'we' are all not making it up.

It was their official club interview after the game, be on YouTube unless they’ve taken it down so no we aren’t making it up

Well after listening to that interview Paul Simpson has certainly gone down in my esteem. If I was Paul Hornby I would be emailing a polite note to Carlisle to say well done on the victory but I’d like to point out that I wasn’t at the Grimsby game so I’m afraid you’ve got your facts wrong.

I can’t believe Simpson has said something public that he doesn’t know to be fact.

Very, very, unprofessional and we clearly have rattled him. I look forward to playing them next season.

TBH… he’s just totally embarrassed himself there, the Paul Hornby reference on the basis of “he heard” was totally unprofessional. He didn’t exactly cover himself in glory with some of the other stuff either. Bit of a shit really.

I’ll be at Hartlepool on Saturday but I’ll definitely be checking on their game with Salford.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

It's on YouTube so you can even watch him say it , the bit about hostile crowd but mot many of them turned up I find really insulting but hey just showing how ill-informed and ignorant/ arrogant the guy is ,I used to respect him but after this tirade???

I don't think either interview was great, PW saw the game completely different to how I did. However with regard to Simpson as said above we've made two changes from the Grimsby game, we've had players like Garner and Feely playing with underlying injuries, the latter now being shutdown for the season. Of course we need to rotate players. I always thought he came across well on RC when I've listened to him but obviously we've riled him up somehow and he's believed what's proven to be a load of [SwearFilter].
Popular side since '03.

“Not many of them turned up” - only about as many that have been attending most Carlisle games for the past decade and a bit, before they started winning a few games.
