On one hand he’s a target man; on the other hand he’s over 30. Forum going to be split on this one….

Not very prolific and a bit of a sick note according to twitter. 3 signings now all sound very much similar (albeit one being a midfielder) I really hope we’ve done are due diligence in signing these players and not used too much resources in getting them to barrow. Yes I’m aware the same was said about quigley but at the end of the day it’s still a gamble

All signings are a gamble.
He had a good scoring record when helping Port Vale to promotion from league 2 recently.

Over 20 games last season. Hardly a sick note

It's good that we also have Worrall from PV. Should be able to work well together.

Think the forward line was always lacking someone like this. Proctor Duffus and Garner seems like a good strike force to me. If they get all the service that Whitfield and Wirral can provide then I think we have easily replaced Gordon and Waters goals

Just don’t want too see my club wasting money on injured players potentially sending us back to non league again 👍

Probably as good as we can afford atm & everyone has forgot about R Bennett, You never know a good injury free end of season & a solid pre season under him and he might just find his mojo & bag us 8/10 with these lads around him or in rotation??

Some good comments about our signings (from PV) on their fans forum, with some saying we are looking good for the coming season. One even says he fancies a punt on us for promotion! They obviously know less about who has left (Brough, Gordon, Kay and our loanees), but interesting to see things from a different perspective.
I am really looking forward to next season…I think a start to match last year is unlikely but wouldn’t it be great?

However these signings work out it’s clear that a great deal of thought as well as effort has gone into them. Though you wouldn’t know it necessarily from half the comments above.

The fact that both Worrall and Proctor are used to playing with each other both at L1and L2 is another little bonus.

Or panic buying. Worrall 216 games 19 goals .
Proctor 2 goals in 20 games hardly prolific last season
Seems we are bringing in alot of players some who getting to the end of the road and expecting them to suddenly start scoring.
Don't panic .

Worrall is more of an asset man whilst Proctor did well the season vale got promotion from league 2. With our financial resources these are the level we are shopping at. We don't have loads of cash to splash we have to be both cute and lucky with our signings and hope the Wild magic rubs off and they prosper. Keep the faith.
