Barrow v Preston North End

Today's starting XI. Think PW said they would be getting 60 minutes.

Anything pre match mentioned about Bennett’s absence? Unless injured surely this is the signalling the end of his second spell here.

Wet and wild out there- good Barrow weather introduction for the new lads!

Reports later please folks much appreciated 👍

Disappointed to see the words Trialist A and Trialist B.

Whatever happened to A.N. Other and S.O. Else?

Wild mentioned going down to 10 men in the second half, but no mention of why. Was that an injury? Surely not a sending off now Josh Kay has gone :?

Barrow played last 22 minutes with 10 men.
Ogungbo went off injured.

Ogungbo got injured within 5 mins of coming on unfortunately, didn't look serious as he walked to the changing rooms unaided

Ogungbo took what looked like an impact injury ten mins in in the final thirty squad that left us with ten men on the pitch and a defensive last twenty in the main.
Overall a good work out thought we edged the first 45 with a well worked goal by Worral after initial good work by Newby down the left flank he crossed one in and I think it was Garner who slid in a decent ball for Worral to finish.

On paper a good win over a Championship side albeit I don't know how strong their team was today. Any stand out performances? Do we look like we carrying over the same approach from last season?

Biggest thing of note to me today was how big the barrow team look. I think the physicality of the league has been a big part of recruitment. I wouldn't want to come up against Procter as a defender

Acquah is gonna get nothing from the officials this season. Defenders bounced off him, which is a foul apparently.

I thought the new lads in CM looked good and all 3 (White included) looked to complement each other well. Spence looked good on the ball and Campbell reminded me of an industrious midfielder with a decent left foot. Ty Warren and Newby as a LCB/LWB combo make me a little nervous.

Final 30 minutes XI: (3-5-2). Farman, Ogungbo, Tiensia, Ray, Reeve, Whitfield, Bray, Foley, Gotts, Duffus, Acquah.

Who are Reeve and Bray?
