Who are Reeve and Bray?

Good showing by all accounts in difficult conditions (what’s happened to summer!?)
I think we needed to bring in some physical presence. Always felt we were one of the smaller sides when we lined up last season.

Friendly aside- that’s an encouraging result. 👏

Were subs not allowed?

All 10 subs came on after 60 mins and the subbed players went for a shower, only Lillis left out of the 22.

Lillis wasn’t actually a registered sub

That was a mistake on the team sheet, junior tiensia was on the bench instead

Entertaining afternoon. No difference in class was obvious, but I do think we performed admirably in both halves.

Well done to the Preston support who came in numbers to swell the gate to over 2000

I think we have a good team in the making and will be no push overs this season.

👍

Thought the team played well today including all the players that came on in the final 30 minutes.Despite the fact that Preston are two leagues above us we held our own and at times dominated the game.It can only mean good things going forward.Like has already been said Barrow aren't going to be a push-over this season.Onwards and Upwards. :scarf: :scarf:

Our shape was very good today. The amount of times they tried to rush or force the final ball through and it was cut out or overhit was due to our shape. Out of possesion, Wild must be very pleased. Some good glimpses in possesion too.

Technically we were a top 6 team last year, but physically maybe we were bottom half. It's clear to see this has been addressed in the transfer window.

If 10 was the maximum number of subs that could be used in a friendly, why were they all introduced in one go - any injuries & we would be a player down (or worse). Surely a mistake by the management.
Also, when they all came on, they came straight from the Changing room - where was the warming up etc ??

Legend Rob Kelly was there today. Looked like he was on a scouting mission

Given the weather they were probably better off warming up in the changing room!
