A previous poster confirmed that all the planning requirements had been sorted last Friday.
Missed that sorry 😁

On the day of a train strike which may have an adverse effect. To be fair in the current climate Wrexham could easily have shifted five times that amount. On a side issue i was told by a fan that there has been some backlash over the issue of tickets where numbers are low. Apparently first preference is given to anyone who had a season ticket BEFORE the Hollywood boys rolled into town. Sounds fair but must be a logistical nightmare.

In the Scouse Scumbag era, I used to go up to the top to change the lamps and yes it was scary!
We're all supporters on here. Let's leave the negative comments to the away fans

The structural look of the new stands isn't great from the outside of the ground, but from the perspective of being inside the ground and on the popular side those and the seats in the Steelworks End are a huge improvement.
Popular side since '03.

Would be interesting to know the views of those sat in the Steelworks end. Were the people passing or standing in front a nuisance?

And from those sat in the new stand on the Brian Arrowsmith side. Were the seats as comfy as the existing BA stand?

See my comments on the match thread where I moved around the ground. However, to repeat myself. West Terrace seats are comfy with decent leg room but supports to the stand are a bit of a pain for viewing the Holker St End goal. And yes people walking across you when sitting behind the goal is a bit of an issue. But as stated earlier what can you do?

Do feel there are a lot more positives than negatives regarding the new seats.

The old place looked fantastic yesterday - a new venue for a new era.

Semper sursum!

I made a rare exodus from the Holker st end as I took my grandson in the Steelworks end seats just to the left of the goals towards the stands. The odd people passing wasn’t an issue and is no different than sitting in the stand and having to get up and let people pass who need the Loo! Couldn’t have been nearer seeing both goals so an enjoyable alternative.I’ll be back in the Holker st end next week as normal but it was very subdued for a first home game. As far as comparing it with away days it’s completely different as fans are placed in one area and the added away day drink seems to help. We did have a conversation about the crowd total as it’s spread about more but there’s no way that crowd was less than 3,500! There was a lot of free tickets issued to local football clubs ( which I used 2 instead of my season ticket). So whether these were included in the total I’m not sure, Great performance and some great fixtures coming up. What more could you ask for?

Just seen the highlights now (haven't been for years now) - the place looks pretty good to me. The extra seats instead of gaps is great to see, and the few rows at the Crossbar End/Steelworks End (iif that's what it's still called?) take the edge off looking at the boring blank wall of that building down there.

Well done to all who put any work into this.

Anyone know what's happening with the area behind where it just looks like piles of sand - old County Coach/warehouse area ? Cheers.

A new housing estate is the plan.

On the subject of the stands
They were officially opened in a private ceremony at holker street on Friday afternoon

I went along and caught a word with fans rep on the board Frazer Stewart:

Loved the vastly improved look of the place, Rail seats look smart as do the 2 new stands, The paint job is almost uniform around the ground & all the little touches make it for me, The steps risers have adverts on then as does the concrete banding on the stands & the extra adverts on the upper sections of the crossbar, It’s turning into a proper stadium & the BOD much take huge credit for their vision and hard work
