Well,the answer is none,Cumbria as a county or administrative area whichever you prefer to call it ceased to exist under government reorganisation.

I tend to agree. Unless you're well into your 50s you won't have any memory of Barrow being in Lancashire anyway. Certainly for me the southern lakes were always my back yard as a kid, Lancashire North of the Sands as it was known was detached from the main county and must have felt a bit strange. Geographically to me Cumbria made more sense.

Exactly. Lancashire for its most part is a run down, dirty grimy place. Accrington was a good example.
While I think Carlisle has more affinity with southern Scotland, Barrow are the real Cumbrian representatives.

Part of the ceremonial county of Cumbria
And now in the unitary authority of Westmorland & Furness.

Oh yes we are in the Lancashire Cup final - so will we be appearing the the Westmorland & Furness Cup next year regularly playing Kendal & Penrith (who must be overjoyed at being part of Westmorland when it was always a Cumberland town) for the county title in future years?

Would expect this to be a well attended game anyway, wouldn’t it be better to offer free tickets on a game where crowd is expected to be less to fill the ground and try and create a better atmosphere. Don’t think they’re going to need any help with that on Saturday.

Nice that it was given the green light.

Club were advertising just over an hour a go there were less than 30 tickets available in the main stand.

On the flip side giving them tickets to a high profile game with atmosphere may entice them back again rather then a boring mid week game with no away fans?
