If they are not they should be. Of course he is scoring goals at a lower level but he is also playing alongside players at a lower level and being coached at a lower level. Think he would be perfect 'B' team material. Of course you do realise this will ignite the 'local so must be crap' brigade.

Great shout this. Been following him since head playing for Walney last season, where he also couldn’t stop scoring. He’s local and massive potential, sign him, give him a chance.

Did he trial for the B-team?

Apparently seven locals applied though only five turned up. On principle, the best local was given the chance to progress further but didn't accept.

Tom Kilifin scored loads of goals for Kendal last season; imagine the moaning on here if we’d signed him…….

No comparison. Kilfillin is in his 30's and has been round the block. This lad is at the other end of the scale.No-one is suggesting he be offered a three year contract but a one year contract in the 'B' team project would give both parties the perfect opportunity.Continue to score regularly and we could have a gem. Fail miserably and he can drop back to his current level with little loss to the club.

Typical stupid response. This lad is young,a natural goal scorer and worth signing just for the potential. Would be fantastic to see a young local lad given the chance and be a success. Guess if we have people like you making decisions it would never happen ,shame really.

Let’s not get carried away he is playing at level 9 in the pyramid. Been in local football for a few years. I would have thought a north west football league club would have had him in at young age if he was any good.

You’re probably correct. Although there’s always the odd one that slips through the net. Plenty of decent players in those levels that never make the step up due to work/family commitments

😂😂

I work by James and I’d love to see him do well (wherever he plays) but as others have said, it’d be a massive step up….having said that, he’s adapted very well to his current move and step up from Walney so who knows, these things can happen.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

I don’t think anyone is suggesting sign him, put him straight into the team. Maybe a season being in and around the squad, Wild and coaching staff working with him, even loan him him back to Kendal for a season on the understanding he trains with Barrow .
