We sign someone that nobody’s heard of, and has scored 3 goals in ten years, so people question it. We now sign someone who was top scorer in this league 2 years back, and we have to air on the side of caution how we react, sake there’s no pleasing some people.
All signings are not guaranteed to work out even in the Premier league let alone Div2. Like i said, on paper looks good, lets see if he produces on the pitch before we get all giddy like you 2-2
Agree. He hasn't kicked a ball yet.
Don't know how much we paid for him but our 'Record Signing' Garner has been a total flop regarding goals scored. So let's wait and see...
We definitely needed a QUALITY striker and on paper Dom Telford looks the biz. Let's hope so! :D

If he stays injury-free, he’ll score 20+ this season.

I said this last season, it's like we still have this negative attitude and we just can't help it!!

A great statement signing and shows intent of the club!
When was the last time we made a real significant signing like this??

Fingers crossed he at least bangs one in and shows the nay sayers what and why we signed the lad!!

In our entire history we've only been higher & that lasted 3 yrs was it?
So out of 123 years history we currently have never had it so good when factoring in the ground developments, Growing fan base, Actually buying players & quality players at that.

Enjoy it while we have it. :scarf:

Let’s not be writing Ben off yet, I think he is a long term player in the eyes of PW.
Im not writing him off far from it but he is a saleable asset that will attract interest and the owners will want to balance the books after signing Telford. Ben came here after Challinor at Stockport switched to a back three and two wingbacks saying he couldn't guarantee him game time. Wild has also switched to the same formation and at wingbacks we have Newby, Worralll, Tiensia, Ogunbo, and Warren and Whitfield.
That may be true but with injuries, suspensions, formation changes and form, all the aforementioned players will not all be playing in those positions at the same time, for an example, Warren hasn’t played RWB yet. Ben’s time this season will come, no need to rush his injury, given the options we have.

I was shocked when Telford joined Crawley. I'm even more surprised to read he's joined you. This really is an outstanding addition. I fancied you to do well this season and Dom Telford can only increase your chances.

Great signing to add to what we already have. We need to shake off the negativity though this little old Barrow crap it's all a bit boring now.

We are an established league 2 side with good players and good management and owners, we have earned our right to be where we are.

The team and management need to see that there is no one to fear in league 2, let's just go for it.

I don't want to see us play like we did at Bolton everytime we come up against one of these so called big sides.

There are plenty on here with a negative attitude towards anything and everything to do with the town and the club.

I won't say anything else on the matter it obviously upsets up

Interesting point and did we see some of this against Wrexham in the first half? We were slow out the blocks and could have been out of the game at Half Time
