MK Dons FC (A)
Re: MK Dons FC (A)
Need to go to a 4-3-3 or something, this back 3 will pull us into a bottom half scrap, cmon wild sort it out.

At the game and it's poor, not helped by being in this empty soulless stadium. Gotts for me is the only one putting in a proper shift. Acqua is trying but feeding off scraps. Defence down either side looks very weak.
Re: MK Dons FC (A)
A former Leeds United rookie rips us apart. Going to have to roll the dice second half. Get a goal early and we are back in it concede another and it could be really embarrassing.

100%, sometimes it feels like hes playing a certain formation to fit players into the team, not make the hard decisions and drop peopleblue nige wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 3:52 pmI know it sounds daft but I still go with the theory that 3 at the back doesn't make you more solid! You always tend to leave it for each other Feely and Chester don't inspire me with confidence we only got away with it last season because we had McClelland and Brough and we just haven't replaced them and now it's coming home to roost!,Methuselah wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 3:47 pm Our defence is rubbish we are too weak at the back and cannot score.First Morecambe and now this. It,s alright playing attractive football but we haven,t got a decent striker who can run into spaces and score. We must stop giving the opposition a leg up.in every game.

Oh and their first looked like the striker controlled it with his forearm
Re: MK Dons FC (A)
I wouldn’t say we are the worst side but we can forget any ideas of a top 7 finish if we don’t start scoring goals. Our lack of cutting edge in front of goal is a far greater concern than our team as a defensive unit. Even with this game now and conceding two soft goals. We just look so unconvincing in front of goal. They aren’t great and you never know we could get back into it with an early goal

Re: MK Dons FC (A)
Sounds like a controversial first goal for MK Dons but it's gone past the point where we can blame decisions for bad results. The statistics show we are toothless up front, good sides take their chances no matter how good they look on the ball. I'm not sure I completely believe the early season hype about us having a supposedly improved side at the moment.
Popular side since '03.

Re: MK Dons FC (A)
Anybody who thinks this might not be as bad as it sounds. Well it’s worse. MK are completely abject and mediocre.
This match has all been about what we are not doing at either end.
Pretty passing is one thing but the pace of the game is too slow and being dictated by MK. Acquah is playing wide left and wide right leaving nobody in the middle. Garner is useless. Ray a big miss in defence.
In summary we are being mullered by a dead sheep.

Re: MK Dons FC (A)
3 at the back is always a recipe for disaster with lower league players.( as is trying to play it out from the back) Stick to a back 4 and , hopefully, everyone will know their job. If we are as dominant as this thread suggests then we can get something out of this yet. We do historically tend to be 'the team that kick starts the opposition season'.....let's not do that today lads please.
Re: MK Dons FC (A)
Hope this makes me look like a mug later on but right now Barrow wouldn't score if the opposition went home.

HT subs: Whitfield and Tiensia for Garner and Stephenson
Don't let the old man in.
Re: MK Dons FC (A)
Well that looks bad for Tiensia.
