It was worse than that- we lost that one 4-3 after being 3-1 up in injury time.

Robbie didn’t play much at the start of the season but recently played a lot mins so ( I’m guessing here ) that the gaffer janked him to keep him fresh & being on a yellow just makes it more sensible.

Mmm, I respect your opinion Mick.But he's a young kid who was having a blinder of a game. Let's face it anyone can get a yellow or red in the blink of an eye. You don't take everyone off with a yellow just in case ! You can't run a team like that. It's negative. Anyway, a great comeback and rightly deserved.

Neither of us know why he took him off so I was merely thinking of options why, Anyhow solid point & feels like a win after being 2 down on 90 mins

Brilliant, just love the passion and yet he is still a very fair commentator when talking about the match and the opposition. There are several like this which stick in my mind - John Rooney’s brilliant goal at home against Torquay in our promotion season and Josh Gordon equalising in added time against Walsall a couple of seasons ago.

Anybody who thinks this might not be as bad as it sounds. Well it’s worse. MK are completely abject and mediocre.

This match has all been about what we are not doing at either end.

Pretty passing is one thing but the pace of the game is too slow and being dictated by MK. Acquah is playing wide left and wide right leaving nobody in the middle. Garner is useless. Ray a big miss in defence.

In summary we are being mullered by a dead sheep.

I don’t think many of us saw that coming but it was ecstatically wonderful when it did. BBC Three Counties Radio went into meltdown and Alexander sounded like a broken man after the game.

As mentioned at HT this game was never really about MK Dons. It was driven entirely by us and our inability to make our dominance pay..

IMO the team and shape that started the second half should have been the one that started the game. Whitfield made a big difference as did Tiensia before his injury.. Telford added some additional impetus and by the 80th minute (As per usual) we were in charge and getting behind their defence rather than playing in front of it.

Hats off to Acquah. He put in such a shift in what for 90 mins looked like a lost cause. By the end he could barely run. Where that strike came from I have no idea.

I have learned never to get too judgemental about this squad based on its in play performance. We are at that point in our development where the margins between looking mediocre and looking potentially very good are much thinner than they were. I can understand why some might think we have not progressed much but I am convinced this is a better squad than last season.

Anyway, we got lucky again, deserved to be two down. Just attack teams from the start.

I thought we did attack them from the start - their goal was pretty much the first time they got into our area - but as Wild alluded to in his interview, we didn’t hurt them enough with all the possession we had. All fart and no shite.

Weird game - balance of play etc we were on top but at the same time, we could have had no complaints about losing 2-0. Credit to the players for keeping on til the end.

I missed the 3 goals that Tranmere scored in injury time, so we LOST not drew. At my time of life, memory sometimes fails me.
